As an upgraded version of the conventional railway,high-speed railway is developing very rapidly with its fast and frequent,punctual rate,as well as the significant technical and economic advantages in China,at the same time,it has played a huge role in promoting on China's regional economic development.With the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway which running through Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai three municipalities and Hebei,Shandong,Anhui and Jiangsu four provinces being completed,it indicates that China has entered a "high-speed railway era".Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway's construction promotes the mobility of factors between regions and the adjustment of industry structure,and the huge investment has a great infulunce on the economy of regions along the line,so the influence mechanism and the degree of influence are the questions to be further studied in this paper.This paper's studying object is Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway,its theoretical foundation consists of Regional Economic Theory,Growth Pole,Point Axis Theory.The paper mainly studies the influence mechanism of high-speed railway on the economic growth of regions along from the perspectives of investment multiplier,regional division of labor and trade,industrial concentration and regional accessibility.Not only it clarifise the relationship among every path,but also it establishes a complete model of the influence mechanism.Then this paper uses Difference-in-Difference model to analyze the influence of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway on regional economic growth.At the beginning of construction,the influence of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway on its areas' economic growth is negative,which is opposite to the expectation.And it does not produce a positive role in promoting,even it inhibits economic growth.However,as time goes on,the negative influence is no longer significant.At the same time,after the addition of TFP index,the result shows that the influence is significant and positive,which means the construction of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway does not promote economic growth at the beginning,but it lays the foundation for economic development,and the significant role in promoting needs some time to show up.Accordingly,the paper further explored the reasons of the result in terms of the market system,the time lag effect and other reasons.And on this basis,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the view of removing institutional constraints,improving infrastructure construction.Moreover,the paper provides some practical experience reference for the regions along the high-speed railway to seize the opportunity of the high-speed railway.
