As the inevitable result of socioeconomic development,the high-speed railway system not only effectively promotes healthy and sustainable development of regional industry,but also provides an important foundation for spatial allocation of the resources,accelerates the efficiency of distribution of resources and improves the spatial configuration of factor endowments to promote the evolution and development of regional industrial structure effectively.There are a large number of papers focusing on adjustment and optimization of industrial structure,but less attention has been paid to interaction between construction of the high-speed railway system and evolution of industrial structure in the process of economic development,of which the microscopic mechanism remains unclear.In addition,as most of previous research are based on time series analysis model,it's necessary to explore the internal mechanism of high-speed railway system's impacts on the regional industrial structure under different spatial weight matrixes.Based on general rules of economic development,the paper takes the Yangtze river delta urban agglomeration as an example to analyze the construction of high-speed railway system and evolution of industrial structure,explore the internal mechanism of economic development,infrastructure construction and industrial upgrading;and it uses DID model and spatial econometric model to analyze the quantitative relationship between construction of the high-speed railway system and evolution of regional industrial structure.Empirical results show that:(1)development of regional economy promotes the rapid development of infrastructure construction,arouses the spatial agglomeration and allocation of resources for production,stimulates the intensive production of the primary industry and the secondary industry,and accelerates the tendency of urban integration in space;(2)operation of the high-speed railway system speeds up the frequency and exchange of logistics and population flow,effectively promotes the scale,quality and efficiency of tertiary industry and the evolution trend of post-industrialization of industrial structure;(3)compared to the secondary industry and the tertiary industry,the traditional primary industry has rapidly transitioned to be service-oriented and recreational,urban leisure agriculture and old-age agriculture have gradually been mature along with the construction of high-speed railway system;(4)influenced by geographical and economic distance,secondary industry and tertiary industry show an absolute ? convergence from 1996 to 2015,and the speed of secondary industry is faster than that of tertiary industry;meanwhile,they also show conditional ? convergence,of which the speed under economic spatial weight matrix is obviously higher than that under geographical spatial weight matrix;(5)the high-speed railway system,which speeds up the convergence and agglomeration of secondary industry,has significantly positive influence on the secondary industry and tertiary industry's absolute ? convergence and conditional ? convergence,especially under the economic spatial weight matrix;(6)governmental expense on education and technology,labor,foreign investment and other elements have positive impacts on three industries and play an important role in the adjustment and upgrade of regional industrial structure.Based on the above conclusions,countermeasures are put forward for optimization of the regional industrial structure from the perspective of structural reform of the supply side,including accelerating constructions of high-speed railway system,increasing governmental investment in science and education,improving the utilization level of foreign investment,vigorously promoting professional training and promoting urbanization,so as to optimize regional industrial structure,improve the effective supply of secondary industry and tertiary industry as well as promoting industry's coordination and economic integration in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration.
