In order to meet the requirements of the high-speed railway development,government of high-speed railway construction in China has made a long-term strategic planning.In the long term,China plans to complete high-speed railway construction of the major cities in an all-round way from 2010 to 2040,which will achieve national high-speed rail network framework system work.By the end of 2015,the operating total mileage of high-speed railway has reached 23000 kilometers [1].With the technology breakthrough and rapidly-growing of the high-speed railway,China plays an essential role in high-speed railway expand.High-speed railway construction influence on the role of regional economic development has become increasingly evident in China.Most of researches on high speed railway were focused on the competing with other modes of transportation at present.However,researches on regional economic effects of high-speed railway development are less.For this reason,this paper conducted a study on regional economic effect of high speed railway construction.The main research contents are as follows:(1)This paper systematically states the relevant conception and meaning of high-speed railway.Then it raises the theory of transportation industry and regional economies development.Finally it clarifies effects of the high-speed railway research findings from the foreign to domestic perspective.(2)Firstly,this paper uses theoretical analysis approach through qualitative analysis in the regional economic development of high-speed railway effects.According to the logical order,this paper analyze from microscopic mechanism to transmission mechanism,which includes the improvement of transport accessibility,the change of regional liquidity and the variation of transportation mode,transportation demand,economic development,industrial structure,urban spatial structure and so on.These elements provide a basis for building analysis index system in this article.(3)then,this paper conducts empirical studies based on the theoretical analysis.In the empirical part,this paper focuses on regional space effect of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway.It based on the social and economic statistical data of Sichuan –Chongqing region,with difference in difference model to quantitative analysis.With visual data,this part explains the effect of regional economics,the proportion of industrial structure and the city differentiation rate of urban spatial structure in two case of “with” and “without” it.The study found that before and after along the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway has time difference and regional differences in economy of regions development path.After the accomplishment of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway,the speed of economic growth is generally faster.And the economy begins to shift to the high-speed railway.It presents a spatial polarization effect of economic growth.At the same time,Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway adjusts the industrial structure,and affects the process of industrialization.However,Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway doesn’t take a significant impact on spatial structure evidently.That is to say that the population doesn’t show the development trend of the high speed railway’ aggregation.The empirical results show the rationality of progressive transmission mechanism proposed in this paper. |
