The Spatial Econometrics Research On Spatial Correlation Of Regional Energy Economic Efficiency In China And It's Influence Factors

Energy is the main power of national economic development and social progress,human will hard to survive without energy,and the national economic and social cannot be sustainable development too.Since the reform and opening up,the urban and rural areas appearance got great changes.However,problems such as energy shortage,environment pollution and greenhouse effect is becoming more and more serious at the same time of rapid economic development.These problems have serious negative impact on Chinese economic and social development and people's daily life.According to statistics,China accounts for 28 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions in 2016,It's the highest in the world.In order to fulfill international commitments of carbon dioxide emissions,take on big responsibility,delay of global climate change,improve China's environmental quality,alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of China's energy,the most effective way is to improve the efficiency of energy economy.To this issue,different scholars carry on a lot of relevant research from different angles,research shows that China's energy efficiency is lower than developed countries.,and the characteristics of spatial distribution is not balanced.This paper will use spatial econometric methods to research on spatial spillover effect of provincial energy economic efficiency and its influencing factors.The main research method of this article as follows: First of all,using the non-radial and non-oriented SBM method to measure the area energy economic efficiency;Then,using the quartile maps and moran index to research space distribution pattern and spatial correlation of our country regional energy economic efficiency.Finally,using the spatial econometric model to analysis the influence factors of our country‘s regional energy economic efficiency for empirical.In this paper,the empirical research conclusion as follows:First,according to the measured results of the regional energy economic efficiency,The regional difference of our energy economic efficiency is obvious.Shanghai,Guangdong,Beijing,Tianjin and Jiangsu are the five provinces whose regional energy economic efficiency is the highest in China.And Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia,Guizhou and Yunnan provinces are the lowest five provinces.The energy economic efficiency of Shanghai,Guangdong has always been on production efficient frontier surface among the period 2001-2014.Beijing,Tianjin,Jiangsu and Zhejiang are near production efficient frontier,and Gansu,Qinghai,Ningxia,Guizhou and Yunnan are far away from the production efficient frontier.If our country is divided into the eastern,central and western regions according to the geographical and economic factors,The eastern region has the highest energy economic efficiency,central is lower and western is the lowest.Second,the clustering results of China's regional energy economic efficiency show that: Beijing,Tianjin,Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Guangdong are the provinces who have higher energy economic efficiency.These provinces all belong to the eastern coastal developed areas,The Midwest hinterland all belong to the lower efficient and inefficient zone.Space quartile maps more intuitively reflect the time and space distribution pattern of our country's regional energy economic efficiency.Among them,the economically developed eastern coastal provinces mainly on three or four levels of the higher energy economic efficiency,and the central and western regions have lower energy economic efficiency mainly on one or two levels.Local space scatter plots more intuitively reflect the spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity of our country's energy economic efficiency.Third,based on spatial Angle of view,using the spatial econometric model to analysis the relevant factors that affect regional energy economic efficiency among 2001-2014 of Chinese 30 provinces.The study found that using spatial adjacency matrix and space economic weight matrix can get similar results;SEM is more suitable than SLM for research in this paper;In the main influence factors of energy economic efficiency,the energy consumption structure on the regional energy efficiency has a negative effect,Per capita gross domestic product,industrial structure,foreign capital utilization and the level of urbanization can improve regional energy economic efficiency.Among them,the foreign capital utilization has great significant impact on regional energy economic efficiency.
