Under the background of climate change,global warming,low-carbon economy,low carbon has become the ideal choice for the sustainable development of tourism.Low carbon tourism development efficiency from the input-output perspective of tourism,the efficiency value as a benchmark for the evaluation of low carbon tourism development level for low carbon tourism evaluation to establish a new theoretical analysis framework.Based on the research results of low-carbon tourism and tourism efficiency,combining tourism geography,economic,ecology theory to measure and analyze the development efficiency of low carbon tourism of Three Gorges reservoir area in Chongqing.Based on the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,this study defines the connotation of low-carbon tourism development efficiency.Then,the qualitative analysis of low carbon tourism development of Three Gorges reservoir area in Chongqing present situation and the difficulties faced by,estimated 2010 ~ 2015 Chongqing Three Gorges reservoir area tourism industry carbon emissions.Building a Low carbon tourism development efficiency evaluation index system based on data envelopment analysis(DEA)of the idea,evaluating the Low carbon tourism development efficiency of Three Gorges Reservoir Area in Chongqing.According to the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis,this paper discusses the reasons for the low efficiency of low carbon tourism development in Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir area from the factor investment level.Finally,enhance some strategies to up the efficiency of low carbon tourism development of the Three Gorges reservoir area in Chongqing.The main conclusions of this paper are:Tourism development efficiency is the important measure of regional low carbon tourism development.Low carbon tourism development efficiency is taken into account the efficiency of tourism development under carbon emissions constraints.In this paper,low carbon tourism development efficiency refers to in the development of low-carbon tourism,production unit,within a specified time,low carbon tourismdevelopment in factor inputs to maximize the desired output,minimize the bad output,all stakeholders could be afforded satisfaction maximize nature.Under the background of low carbon economy,the development of tourism by increasing the scale of investment,improve low carbon technology,low carbon tourism development obtain the greatest economic and environmental benefits.In 2010 ~ 2015,The carbon emissions of tourism of Three Gorges reservoir area rapidly increase,the average annual growth rate of between 6.02% ~ 76.78%.Indicating that the tourism industry in Chongqing Three Gorges reservoir area is still high carbon,the traditional development model,low carbon tourism development in the reservoir area is still in the initial stageThe low carbon tourism development efficiency in Three Gorges Reservoir Area is low level in the decomposition.Indicating that at present the resource elements of low carbon tourism development in 15 districts and counties in Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir area are insufficient,low carbon tourism development on a smaller scale,technology is not mature for developing low carbon tourism.The development of low carbon tourism in the Three Gorges reservoir area in Chongqing has a certain amount of input redundancy and insufficient output.The scale and technology of the existing low carbon tourism cannot transform the resource elements into the greater economic and environmental benefits.Low carbon tourism development efficiency of Three Gorges reservoir area needs to improve the scale efficiency and technical efficiency to further improve the overall efficiency of low carbon tourism development efficiency.
