A Study On The Development Strategy Of White Yak Industry In Tianzhu County

Tianzhu County,a livestock-based ethnic minority autonomous county,has always enjoyed the reputation of being a "hometown of white yaks".From the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty,Tianzhu's herdsmen had understood the economic value of Tianzhu white yaks,and began to pay attention to the breeding of white yaks.Since the reform and opening up,the state and the government have paid more attention to the development of the Tianzhu white yak industry,and listed it as Tianzhu's advantageous industry,leading industry,and the pillar industry supporting Tianzhu's county economy.After 30 years of development,the industry of Tianzhu White Yak achieved a breakthrough.With the gradually maturing cultivation and propagation technique of Tianzhu White Yak,the number of Tianzhu White Yak continues to grow,which has laid the foundation for the development of the enterprise.The enterprise is also gradually transferred to the platform with a higher level for development.However,the accompanying disadvantages are becoming more and more obvious,for example,influenced by the traditional culture,the extensive management has led to internal disadvantages such as low output,small scale,shortage of knowledge and skills of farmers and herdsmen,huge quality difference and poor brand effect.And it has also brought external threats such as the impact of other yak products on the Tianzhu White Yak industry,impact of imported yak products on the domestic yak market,contradiction between the application of geographical indications and the development of industry,poor overall planning,protection and development,global economic downturn and great resistance against industrial exports.Therefore,it has become the problem demanding prompt solution how to speed up the transformation and upgrading of the Tianzhu white yak industry,enhance the competitiveness of the industry,strengthen the brand effect,and achieve the improvement from quantity to quality of the Tianzhu white yak industry.Firstly,this research reviews and sorts out the research literature and related theories at home and abroad from the animal husbandry,characteristic agriculture,and characteristic industry.Secondly,this paper analyzes development process and the status quo of the Tianzhu white yak industry,after the whole understanding of the development of the yak industry in China.It gets to understand the internal and external factors in the development of the Tianzhu white yak industry through the SWOT analysis method,and combined with the above content it determines the specific elements in its advantages,disadvantages,opportunities,and threats;Thirdly,it determines the actual strength of the layer of planning in the hierarchy table through the expert survey method.In the choice of experts,it chooses more authoritative experts from the three fields including the animal husbandry bureau studying the breeding of the white yak,enterprises processing and producing the white yak products,and the government leaders involved in relevant departments,to conduct a questionnaire survey.Then,it gets the comparison matrix in and between the development and strategy groups of the Tianzhu white yak industry by using the calculating function for group decision in the yaahp10.5 software,makes the analytical hierarchy process and determines the importance of each factor group to the strategic choice by using the hierarchical ranking and consistency test,determines the SO opportunity strategy for the development of the Tianzhu white yak industry by using the method of SWOT-AHP strategy choice.Finally,based on the analysis results above,it puts forward the strategic recommendations for the development of the Tianzhu white yak industry by using a number of external opportunities to optimize the internal advantage.
