Research On Status And Strategies Of Tourism Poverty Alleviation In Chongqing Municipality

As the biggest developing country in the world,China`s poverty population is bigger than that of many countries.Rural poverty population is forty three million three hundred and five thousand at the end of 2016.Poverty still remain severe.Therefore,how to eliminate poverty and start innovative alleviation are very important task for the party and our country.Chongqing,as the only municipality with such work,has still 9key counties within the national plan for poverty alleviation,with a population of two hundred point six thousand.So poverty is still haunting the city.However,judging from the tourism,it is found that these areas boost both abundant natural or humanity resources.Therefore,basing on the actuality,it is recognized as an advisable policy to turn resource advantage into economic profits drawing on the strong momentum of tourism and explore means of poverty alleviation with great potentials.The article intends to provide theoretical supports and pragmatic directions for tourism alleviation through its research on the issue so as to supply references for the development of the poverty areas.The article first recognizes the important role tourism poverty alleviation plays economically,politically,culturally,socially and ecologically.Then taking Chongqing as object of study,the article makes a conclusion on the status of tourism alleviation.It shows that although the work has fruitful to some extent,some urgent problems still remain,such as the lack of professionals,supporting facilities,funds and input of exploiting tourism market and insufficient benefit for poverty population.To resolve these problems,the research makes the fundamental principles like human-orientation,adaption to local conditions,sustainable development,collective prosperity and targeted alleviation.Then,the article provides feasible measures to promote the tourism progress,such as professional education,facility improvement,investment invitation,advertisement,innovation and better involvement of all parties.It is a wish of the author to realize the further progress of the Chongqing and create an affluent society in an all-round way.
