Research On The Exhibition Industry Development Strategies Of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region Based On The Industry Life Cycle Theory

It's obvious that the domestic exhibition industry development is not balanced at present.Though exhibition industry's development has speed up in North China,especially in Beijing, it can't catch up with the Pearl River Delta or Yangtze River Delta in integrity ,regionally and scale. In addition, lots of practical problems are hindering the development of North China's exhibition industry, such as: too many large exhibition venues, abandoning the local advantage, emphasizing quantity rather than quality, ignoring the regional cooperation, lack of relevant policies and regulations, lack of professional staff,etc. It has been a hot topic to seize the opportunity to promote exhibition industry's development reasonably, and then the developed exhibition industry could provide Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region with industrial support in the background of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianj in-Hebei region.This paper collects and combs the data of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's Exhibition industry, combining the Comparative Analysis Method and the Industry Life Cycle Theory,to analyse the development level of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from the changing of competitors' number,supply scale,and market structure. Then, it describes the development condition of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's exhibition industry, and infers the prospect of exhibition industry in this region. The research found that the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's exhibition industry is on the ladder shaped trend now.Among the region,Beijing's exhibition industry has entered the middle of industry life cycle, and its following trends are internationalization, branding, technicalization. Tianjin's exhibition industry is on the transition stage which between the early and the mid of the industry life growth circle, and which development trend is professionalization, upsizing,branding. The development level of Hebei province's exhibition industry is lagging behind Beijing and Tianjin's, which still in the transition stage between formative period and growth period, and its development trend is normalization, diffusion, and creativity.Face to the development situation and trend of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's exhibition industry, enterprises, government and other departments should take measures to deal with it in view of each characters of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's exhibition industry in the process of development. From enterprise aspect, all of the exhibition industry enterprises in the region should attach great importance to the talent introduction and staff training. The stronger enterprise in Beijing exhibition industry should put in more human resource and money to support the branded exhibition projects which are according to the international standards. Correspondingly, the weaker enterprises in Beijing exhibition industry should spread its business to the cities in Hebei province. Exhibition enterprises in Tianjin should further develop and expand their existing projects, and take the advantage of the media to make brand effect of existing exhibition projects. Exhibition enterprises in Hebei province should create more exhibition projects by their own, and introduce more successful exhibition projects from other areas by cooperation. From the government aspect,the government of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei province should continue to coordinate for common development, eliminating unnecessary administrative barriers and creating more convenient conditions for the communication and development of the region's exhibition industry. First, governments in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei province should establish a professional talent pool for exhibition industry jointly, which are used to observe the situation of flow of the exhibition professionals.Then, the local governments should make polices to encourage the exhibition professionals' communication and interaction in the region.Second, governments in Beijing,Tianjin, Hebei province should establish a database of exhibition projects, and elect projects with local characteristics as round joint project or SEEC project. From the social aspect, the industries which are related to exhibition should step up cooperation and fusion with the exhibition industry, make full use of exhibition industry's resources and advantages,and form a supporting construction for common development. The relevant industry associations in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should build a system of association to make up government management's shortcoming to strengthen the cooperation among exhibition projects in this region. The government and industry associations should give more publicity to the exhibition projects, especially Hebei province. More knowledge and information about exhibition the citizens acquire, more passion the citizen get involved in the exhibition projects. In short, in order to promote the Beijing-Tianj in-Hebei region to be an economic zone with international competitiveness in exhibition industry, all enterprises, government, industry association, citizens and relevant industries in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region should join in the construction of local exhibition industry according to the reality.
