The Empirical Analysis Of The Population Aging Influence To The Consumption Structure Of Huangshi City

According to the proportion of people over the age of 65 in different years issued by the NBS,aging in China is accelerating.The latest census showed that the population of Hubei has been basically tending to aging.And the speed of population aging in Huangshi is also growing.The proportion of the elderly population aged 65 and over occupied the total population increase by 2.56 percentage points 2010 compared to 2000.In population aging context,Consumption patterns,objects,preferences,habits of the elderly people are different from those of young people and children,Which is will has an impact on the consumption structure.Thus,in order to promote the rapid economic development of Huangshi,and actively expand the consumption demand of the elderly,and make full use of the consumption to drive the economy growth,and implement various policies of the state and the province on encouraging consumption.Based on the sixth census data of Huangshi,As well as the data of the fifth census of Huangshi and over the years statistical yearbook data as supplementary data,studying the effect of population aging on consumption structure in Huangshi.The main content of this paper is about the opening chapter gives background and significance of the study;content,use-method and the program;innovations and shortcomings.And also includes the relevant references.The second chapter is about the basic theory of population aging,age structure and consumption structure;The third chapter is using descriptive statistics analysis method is to analyze the current situation of population aging and consumption structure in Huangshi.The fourth chapter is the empirical analysis of the relationship between population aging and consumption structure.Choosing "the proportion of children under the age of 14",and"the proportion of working age population(15-64 years)",and "the proportion of the elderly(above 65 years)",as representation variables to measure the age structure of population.Selecting the "food","clothing","home","home appliances and supplies","transportation and communication","educational cultural entertainment," "health care" and "other" consumer consumption accounted for the total consumption expenditure,as representation variables to measure consumption structure.When the grey correlation analysis is conducted,the time series of population age structure is the parent sequence(reference sequence),and the consumption structure time series is a subsequence(comparative sequence).Then,according to the formula,we calculate the correlation degree of each subsequence and the parent sequence,and compare their size.The results shows that the aging of the population has the greatest impact on"home appliances and supplies",followed is the"home",and once again is the"transportation and communication".The impact of the "health care" products consumption is second only to "traffic and communication",the results of this analysis are in line with the reality of modern society.The fifth chapter is on the basis of the third and four chapters,and puts forward the countermeasures to deal with the aging of the population and optimize the consumption structure in Huangshi.It can provide reference value for some enterprises to develop the old consumer goods.
