As a new way of travel,high-speed rail has been attentioned by the community.The study of high-speed rail also captures more attention from schloars.From the research of high-speed rail and tourism,domestic and foreign scholars have less research on the combination of high-speed rail and tourism efficiency.In this dissertation,we construct the evaluation model of urban tourism efficiency,based on the theory of tourist spatial structure,economic benefit,and production frontier.We also draw domestic and foreign lessons from the research related urban tourism efficiency.Besides,we use DEA model as the method to analyze the tourism efficiency.Combining with the ananlysis on the tourism accessibility,we statically and dynamically evaluate the tourism efficiency of 35 cities in Gui Yue region.Also,we compare the changes of urban tourism efficiency before and after the opening of high-speed rail from the dimensions of time and space.Finally,the dissertation puts forward the strategy of improving the tourism efficiency to provide some reference for Gui Yue region and urban tourism development.The main conclusions of this dissertation:(1)The opening of Gui Guang railway and Nan Guang railway has improved the accessibility of central area,the area along the high-speed rail and a few marginal cities.But the accessibility of most marginal cities still has great room for improvement.(2)The number of cities with the optimized comprehensive tourism efficiency has increased after the opening of Gui Guang railway and Nan Guang railway.But the regional difference is still obvious.The level of using tourism resource is high.However,there is still a waste of resource.(3)The number of cities which have made full use of the technical level during the development of tourism has decreased after the opening of Gui Guang railway and Nan Guang railway.The area has achieved an effective utilization which possesses more than 90%of the existing technical level.From the view of scale point,the number of cities that tourism resource meet the needs of the city has increased.About 89.8%of the regional tourism resource has been optimized,which is improved 6.5%than before.(4)The scale tourism efficiency possesses a greater impact on the comprehensive tourism efficiency than that of the pure technique when the high-speed rail opens or before.(5)The distribution of regional tourism efficiency is not significant before opening the high-speed rail.The area shows a certain distribution after opening the high-speed rail.The reasons for the ineffectiveness of tourism efficiency in different cities are mainly due to the lack of input and output of different factors,which can not meet the demand of tourism and the lack of economic development potential.(6)The area where had highest tourism accessibility did not possess the optimized tourism efficiency before the opening of the high-speed rail.And the highest accessible region cover the area where has the optimized tourism efficiency after opening the high-speed rail.(7)According to the results of the empirical analysis,we put forward the promoted strategy of tourism efficiency in Gui Yue region and cities from the perspective of tourism traffic,tourism resources development,basic tourism service system and regional tourism cooperation.
