In recent years,with the growing popularity of portable mobile devices,wireless charging technology has gradually become a new hot spot.With the advantages of no need to plug,more security and one-to-many charge,wireless charging technology has become inevitable power supply of consumer electronics,electric vehicles,home and other areas in the future.With the standards gradually unified,policy steady progress,wireless charging industry opportunities will be fully launched.Analyzing 3115 scientific and technical literature on wireless charging technology from 1991 to 2017 as samples found that the current hotspot of wireless charging research are electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic resonance,while in the future,it will be from basic technology transition to the specific application,and in particular relates to distance,power,efficiency,electromagnetic compatibility and other technical problems,as well as health and medical,consumer electronics and transportation applications.As of March 2017,the total number of patent applications for wireless charging technology has been 29869(total of 14947 patents).The number of global wireless charging patent application is currently in a phase of rapid growth.In terms of technical development trend,these patents are mainly focused on power supply / power circuit and system,while electric vehicle will become the blue sea and become the most promising application area.In terms of opened patent ranking,the United States,Japan and South Korea are the most important technology exporting countries,while China,the United States,Japan,South Korea and Europe are main patent application destinations.The top ten patent applicants are foreign giants,of which Japan occupies four seats.Through analysis of the size of patent family,it can be found that the average China patent family is only 1.1,while the global average family is 2.Compared to foreign countries,wireless charging technology for the overall trend show strong momentum in China,but foreign companies Qualcomm and Samsung has the maximum number of application,while ZTE,TOYOTA,SONY,Tianjin University of Technology and so on,ranked fourth to ten place.Patent applications in the field of wireless charging show big and miscellaneous features and will continue to maintain in China.After analysis of patent quality,market comprehensive strength and technological capabilities and so on,selecting three foreign enterprises,Samsung,Qualcomm and Wi Tricity,and three domestic enterprises / universities,ZTE,Haier and Chongqing University as a key research object.Each enterprise / university has different patentoperation strategy according to the market size and industry characteristics.Generally speaking,foreign key competitors in the intellectual property rights awareness,the quality of patent applications,overseas layout and the breadth of cooperation are better than domestic competitors.It is not suitable for domestic enterprises to imitate as foreign giants R & D model and commercialization path is based on its strong R & D strength and financial background.The example of ZTE Corporation and WiTricity company proves that school-enterprise cooperation is a more conducive way to achieve technological innovation and results transformation for domestic enterprises in the field of wireless charging technology.In addition,China should accelerate the establishment of technical standards,support typical enterprise demonstration project and increase investment in universities and research institutions to promote the development of the industry.Domestic competitors should make full use of patent information and the production and research system,deep plowing to obtain the high ground in the field of subdivision,at the same improving the quality of patent applications for patent right to improve competitiveness.
