Study On Cooperation Models Of Oil And Gas Development Between China And Uzbekistan

In the last decades since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Uzbekistan,the relationship between the two countries is always moving in a friendly and stable direction ofclose high-level visits,increasing political trust.Due to the importance of strategic energy,the world energy market competition is becoming increasingly fierce.As the center of Central Eurasia,due to its important geographical location and the political pattern of regional form,Uzbekistan has a very important geopolitical position.Uzbekistan is located in the middle of Central Asia,the resources of oil and natural gas are very rich,the annual supply of energy products especially in petroleum and natural gas has increased year by year.Thus,Uzbekistan become the world's major oil and gas resources supply country,while its huge reserves of oil and gas in Uzbekistan provide a guarantee for oil and gas cooperation.But in recent years,its outdated technology and other aspects of the exploration and development affect the cooperation and development of oil and gas with China.Based on this background,the research objective of this thesis is to analyze the present situation of Uzbekistan's oil and gas resources,to point out the cooperation issues and difficulties between the two countries,and to put forward the feasible suggestions according to the specific situations and analysis.The main motivation of this thesis is to investigate the history of oil and gas development cooperation in two countries,and to discuss oil and gas development cooperation development mechanism,in terms of the policy of oil and gas development cooperation,the development of oil and gas cooperation management facilities,and the discussion of Chinese and Uzbekistan oil and gas development cooperation patterns.This thesis firstly introduces the favorable conditions for cooperation between the two countries,and then provides the analysis of the cooperation between the two sides and the cause of the problem.Finally the analysis of both oil and gas development cooperation model are presented.The thesis mainly analyze five cooperation models,i.e.,the production sharing model,joint development model in terms of common agent system,joint development model in terms of common supranational management system,joint development model in terms of building joint venture,construction of oil and gas pipeline model in terms of joint development and cooperative mode.Then the thesis provides an analysis about the advantages and disadvantages of different models.At the end of this thesis,some cooperation strategies about Chinese and Uzbekistan oil and gas development are presented.In this thesis,some main strategies including strengthening political mutual trust,deepening international cooperation,actively attracting Chinese investment to establish information communication system,constructing regional international energy cooperation mechanism,making full use of two kinds of resources and two markets from domestic and foreign perspectives,promoting multi-level and all-round oil and gas development cooperation between China and Uzbekistan,constructing national energy safety network,are discussed.
