A Study Of The Urbanization Quality Measurement Of Small And Medium-sized Cities

Since the reform and opening up,China's urbanization has developed rapidly,but at the same time,only over-emphasis on the number of urban growth,while ignoring the improvement of urban quality,resulting in a series of serious urban problems,such as traffic congestion,environmental degradation,population explosion,Housing tension and so on.So more and more experts and scholars began to study how to improve the quality of urbanization in order to seek the sustainable development of urbanization.Small and mediumsized cities are an important part of urbanization system,so it is of practical significance to measure the quality of urbanization.Linfen City is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province.Since the demolition of the city in 2000,the level of urbanization has increased rapidly.The urbanization rate has increased from 26.87% in 2000 to 48.62% in 2015.However,at the same time,Urban disease"and other issues,so in order to promote the comprehensive,stable and sustainable development of Linfen City,it is necessary to carry out in-depth study on the quality of urbanization in Linfen City.First of all,this paper elaborates the concept of urbanization and urbanization quality on the basis of reading and summarizing a large number of literatures.Secondly,it selects the indicators from the five subsystems of economic development,social development,residents' quality of life,ecological environment,Constructs the evaluation index system of urbanization quality,uses the entropy method to determine the weight,obtains the comprehensive score of urbanization quality,and results of the longitudinal and horizontal comparison of the two aspects.In the longitudinal aspect,the time series data of Linfen City from 2006 to 2015 were selected.The results showed that the urbanization quality of Linfen City in recent ten years showed a steady upward trend,and the economic development subsystem had the highest contribution to the quality of urbanization.The lowest quality subsystem,the sub-system before 2010,the gap between the larger,but after 2010,the gap gradually narrowed,stabilized.In the horizontal aspect of Shanxi Province,selected 11 citiesin 2015 data as a research object.The results show that there are obvious differences in the development of urbanization in Shanxi Province.In addition to the large number of indicators of Taiyuan City,the remaining cities are relatively backward,and the other cities are relatively backward and urbanized.Overall quality is low.And the quality of urbanization in Linfen City ranked eighth,belonging to the lower quality of urbanization,economic development,social development,the quality of life of residents,the ecological environment,urban and rural co-ordination subsystem in the province ranked ninth,sixth,Eighth,seventh,eighth,compared to the level in the middle and lower reaches.Thirdly,according to the empirical analysis results and the actual situation of Linfen City,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions from the following aspects.First,to the economy as the guide,by adjusting the industrial structure,do a good job of project construction to promote the development of urbanization;second,improve the urban construction planning,strengthen the central city Yaodu District radiation capacity to enhance its surrounding counties and cities population and Economic development;third,to improve the capacity of urban security,increase the attractiveness of rural residents to meet the basic needs of migrant workers;Fourth,optimize the urban environment,in particular,to strengthen the management of the ecological environment for the residents to provide good Of the living conditions;Fifth,to promote urban and rural development,improve urban-rural relations,narrow the gap between urban and rural areas,and gradually improve the culture level and quality of life of the farmers.
