The Observation Of Ecological And Cultural Changes In The Mining Exploitation Process

Due to the prevalent existence of insufficient utilization and exploitation of resource inherited from Industrial Age,environmental problem is becoming more ubiquitous at present than ever.With the increasing restraint caused by high-speed developing economy and various resource utilization,the way of utilization has already become the basis of sustainable development in a country.Recently,there are a great number of ecological scholars who worked out the solutions to this issue by adopting natural science approach.However,they failed to resolved it completely because of its high cost.Based on such academic background,this dissertation has observed the shifts in Huayuan county which brought by local mineral resource exploitation from an anthropological perspective and endeavored to figure out the laws of developing harmoniously among economy,culture and ecology through exploring the positive interaction model among them.The research has selected Minle town,Huayuan county,as my field spot and observed the ecological problems and cultural changes happening in the process of exploitation by means of fieldwork and document analysis.This research has analyzed the ecological problem first which derived from local mineral exploitation,such as declining water level,exhausted well water and inducement of cultivated land.It also discussed the influence on local people's life caused by the introduce of modern concept,and the cultural conflict and change generated by such influence.In order to promote the ecological recovery and cultural inheritance in ethnic mineral regions,this research has illuminated the nature of positive interaction between ecology and culture and proposed from the aspect of ethnic diversity protection,resource management and cultural elements grafting.This dissertation basically consists of five parts: firstly,it introduced the general situation of Minle town from its regional background,environment before exploitation and livelihood style.Secondly,it explained the environment of mineral area from the aspect of seeking and exploitation of minerals.Thirdly,it analyzed several environmental problems originated from soil metal pollution and the ecological shifts after exploitation in mineral area in four aspects.Its purpose is to summarize the effects on ecology and culture caused by mineral exploitation.Fourthly,it discussed the way that locals adjust themselves to such environmental change by analyzing the shift of lifestyle,change of concepts and strike from traditional culture,then it tried to search for the exact reasons.Finally,aiming at finding proper tactics for sustainable development of mineral exploitation in ethnic area,it assessed the ecological maintaining system and its effectsadopted by government currently and gave proposals after combining the mutual points between ecology and culture.
