Research On The Relationship Between Ecology And Culture In The Exploitation Of Mineral Resources In Ethnic Mountainous Regions

With the rapid development of economy, the bottleneck effect, that is the shortage of resources on Chinese economy, is becoming more and more obvious. The efficient resources utilization is a necessary requirement to the development of sustainable development. However, it is common for China to make extensive and inefficient exploitation of resources. What's more, the measures proposed by most scholars can't solve the present problem completely. This thesis studies mainly about the exploitation and development of mineral resources in ethnic mountainous regions from the angle of ecological anthropology, trying to propose some measures to solve the problems between ecology and culture during the development of mineral resources.The basic ideas of this paper: sustainable development of Chinese economyâ†'breaking the resources boundâ†'efficient resources utilizationâ†'benign interaction between ecology and culture. Basing the ecology and culture interactionism, it explores the serious problems between ecology and culture during the development of mineral resources in Enshi Autonomous Prefecture. What's more, it takes the Honglian village at Yanzi town in Hefeng county as an example analyzing the destruction of ecological diversity because of the development of mineral resources. It also discusses the change of traditional knowledge and management system in Honglian natives and analyzes the conflict, change and adaptation of the culture. It describes interaction system of ecology and culture, which is the culture choice and adaptation of humans. Finally, it proposes some measures to improve the harmonious development among economy, ecology and culture.It concludes that the culture is an information system formed in the process of humans'adaptation and transformation of the nature. It is helpful for the sustainable development to make harmonious interaction between ecology and culture. The ecological wisdom and skills existing in various ethnic groups is irreplaceable. It is significant for the multiple cultures to coexist. The cultural conflict, changes and adaptation exists in the exploitation of mineral resources in ethnic mountainous regions, which is just the adaptation for human to the changes of ecology and is helpful to the development of ecology, economy and society. Therefore, keeping the diversity of ecology and culture, which is the basic principle during exploitation of mineral resources in ethnic mountainous regions and is an efficient way to improve resources utilization.
