The Empirical Research Of Residents' Consumption Changes In China Since 2000

One of the aims of the structural reform of the supply side is to meet changes in domestic demand.Since the reform and opening up,the whole process of economic restructuring of China economic development over reliance on investment and external demand,showing as the imbalance between investment and consumption structure,and the imbalance between domestic demand and external demand structure: On the one hand is subject to diminishing marginal returns of capital decreased the rate of return on investment;On the other hand,the strengthening of environmental and resource constraints,the original dependence on investment to promote economic growth patterns are more and more difficult,the importance of consumption gradually highlights.Therefore,a comprehensive,objective and in-depth analysis of the changes in the consumption of residents in China is of great significance to promote the structural reform of the supply side.This paper summarizes the relevant research results at home and abroad,with the objective to grasp the changes of Chinese residents' consumption status as the main line,from two angles of theory and practice,in urban and rural areas,different income,different province three dimensions hierarchical,structure of comprehensive system,the change of residents' consumption status in China was analyzed,Focus on using panel data and GIS method to analyze the provincial distribution difference of residents' consumption in our country.The study found that,from the perspective of the growth of consumer spending,residents' consumption conditions continue to improve,but improve the relative slightly;Urban and rural residents income level,growing income gap has widened speed decreases,but the income gap between rural and urban areas gradually increase;Urban and rural residents of sustained growth in consumer spending,but present bigger differences in spending;Town of all income groups are in decline,the propensity to consume and present a low income and high consumption tendency more and more regularly.Rural low-income groups and the middle and lower income groups consumption tendency is gradually increased,and above medium income groups consumption tendency to increase after the reduction,the consumer spending gap between different income groups declined year by year.On this basis,this paper discusses the main factors influencing residents' consumption in our country has the following three aspects: one is the traditional culture determines the basic model of residents' consumption in our country.The second is the change of population structure affects the change of consumption.Three is the particularity for the transformation of China's economic and social development affects the change of residents' consumption.In the long term,with the improvement of living standards and the progress of social life,leading to low ratio of consumption to long-term factors gradually weakened,but the essential change doesn't happen in a short time,so this state of low consumption will maintain a longer period.
