Research On The International Division Status Of Guangdong Province's Manufacturing

Since the reform and opening up,under the influence of economic globalization,the degree of international division is continuously deepening.Before the full development of international division,the trade between countries mainly adopts the form of general trade.With the increasingly frequent trade exchanges and the gradual deepening of global economic integration,a large number of intermediate goods trade has emerged,processing trade is widely carried out.The production chain and the value chain of the product are also split and integrated to the maximum extent among the countries.Processing trade is different from general trade,processing trade exports tend to contain more import ingredients,its production chain is shorter,and the impact on the domestic economy is far less than the general trade.in order to better understand the status and competitiveness of Guangdong Province,which act as a major processing trade province,in international division system,the characteristics of processing trade needs to be fully considered.This paper uses input-output technology,excluding the impact of foreign imports of intermediate goods and distinguishing the processing trade and general trade,to measure the domestic technical content of Guangdong Province's export products.Research results in this paper imply that:Firstly,From the export scale and export structure perspective,although Guangdong exports a large number of products with high technical content,it did not get a high value-added.Guangdong province is located in the processing and assembly of low technical links.Secondly,under the background of rich labor resources,the domestic technical content index of Guangdong Province's low-tech manufacturing sector is high,and its international competitiveness is high;Although the domestic technical content of high-tech manufacturing sector is absolutely increased,the promotion of domestic production capacity of high-tech manufacturing sector is not high,and its still located in a subsidiary position of the international division system.Thirdly,the absolute value of the technological content of Guangdong's manufacturing export products has improved significantly,but a great extent has been derived from the contribution of foreign value-added.To enhance the status of international division of Guangdong Province.Firstly,upgrading of export technology is imperative,It is necessary to promote the upgrading of processing trade,constantly improve the domestic supporting capacity of processing trade and improve the industrial system.Secondly,enhance R & D capability,increase the investment of human capital to accumulate high tech human capital,strengthen the party and government's support policy.Lastly,at present,it is necessary to encourage the import of high-tech products,what's more important is to absorb it's advanced production and management experience,Finally achieve the goal of high value-added production link.
