Research On The Positioning Of Financial Industry Of Daqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone

The "Petroleum City" Daqing has made remarkable contributions to the early development of the national economy.However,the irreversibility of resource depletion,the imbalance of the city economy structure and the turbulence of the world oil market set obstacles on the road of sustainable development.High-tech Industrial Zone is the heart of the regional economy.Despite of the prosperous growth,the High-tech Industrial Zone needs a more mature and developed financial industry,as the city does.Current studies focus on the reason of financial clustering,competitiveness and developed zones such as Shanghai and Beijing,etc.This paper,after reviewing previous theories,will explore and illustrate the necessity of developing financial industry in Daqing High-tech Industrial Zone,and in the third part,will analyze the economic strengths,structural weakness,international industrial and national policy opportunities and threats from competitors to work out the strategic planning for the underdeveloped zone in an outback province,which has barely been done by scholars and researchers.Based on the SWOT analysis,strategies are made such as to learn from the successful modes;to enhance the banking the non-banking institutions;to facilitate the public offer of enterprises;to build financial platform and to develop outsourcing and spot and forward markets.The author hopes to present Daqing and High-tech Industrial Zone with some hints.
