This research is mainly around the GRAND SHOPPING CENTER OF HARBIN in a real business environment downturn,the network economy strong settled,and the way how to grasp the opportunity to find space for the development of the business entity and out of the retail industry increasingly downturn,so as to promote the GRAND SHOPPING CENTER OF HARBIN marketing development strategy.Firstly,the basic concepts of the retail and department store were described and their development at home and abroad was elaborated as well.The current research theories of department store were summarized at the same time.Secondly,the present situation,competitive environment,product strategy,marketing strategy and service strategy of the department stores in Harbin were described and analyzed in detail.Based on the description and analysis,the operation development plan for GRAND SHOPPING CENTER was discussed and the risks in the development process were also analyzed by drawing on the domestic and international advanced development strategies in terms of the regional characteristics and consumption habits in Harbin,.Finally,the study on the countermeasures of the development strategy for achieving GRAND SHOPPING CENTER was considered and their corresponding solutions were discussed.Based on research of the domestic(besides Harbin)and international development situation and strategy of department stores,through the investigation and discussion on the development strategy of GRAND SHOPPING CENTER,the aim is to establish a complete development strategy which is suitable for GRAND SHOPPING CENTER in the present.Thus,it could be accepted by the consumer in the competition with other domestic and international department stores which have entered the Harbin market,and could be invincible in the competition and make a good effort for rapid operation development of Harbin general merchandise market and integration with international department stores.
