Research On The Impact Of Industrial Coagglomeration On Regional Economic Fluctuation In Guangdong Province

Industrial agglomeration is a hot topic in academic research.With the development of economy,the theory and empirical evidence of economic effects related to industrial agglomeration are becoming increasingly abundant.The existing literature shows that the increase in industrial agglomeration and regional economic development is not the stable monotonically increasing relationship.With the deepening of industrial agglomeration practice,the regional economy is faced with the question of how to choose the industry co-agglomeration.However,the existing literature ignores the diversification of the industry co-agglomeration.The research on relationships between the various industry co-agglomeration of the regional economic fluctuations have different effects is relatively lacking.With the rapid economic development,Guangdong Province has formed diversified industrial co-agglomeration areas.Therefore,this paper takes the Guangdong province as the object of analysis.First of all,this paper summarized the literatures on the common co-agglomeration of the industry and the regional economic fluctuation,and found out that the existing literature lacks the classification of the influence of the industrial co-agglomeration on the regional economic fluctuation.On this basis,qualitatively analysed how the industry co-agglomeration to ease and stimulate regional economic fluctuations.The data are based on 30 manufacturing and 7 production service industries in Guangdong Province.According to the level of economic development and the degree of opening to the outside,the 21 cities in Guangdong Province are divided into four regions.Regions were analyzed separately.Through the measurement model,the empirical study on the influence of industrial agglomeration on regional economic fluctuation is carried out.The conclusions of this study are as followed: The industrial co-agglomeration of the various regions of Guangdong Province is not balanced.The Pearl River Delta region has a high level of related diversified industries co-agglomeration.The unrelated diversified industries co-agglomeration in eastern Guangdong is high;the industries co-agglomeration level in western Guangdong and northern Guangdong is low.There is spatial correlation between the industrial co-agglomeration between cities.Large cities with high correlation industries co-agglomeration have a crowding-out effect on industries with low technological relevance.Therefore,the unrelated industries co-agglomeration in large cities is high.The economic fluctuations change with the the level of industries co-agglomeration.Consensual industry co-agglomeration plays an important role in mitigating regional economic fluctuations.Therefore,all regions should strengthen the division of labor with the surrounding areas on the basis of local conditions.The Pearl River Delta region should be appropriate to enhance the level of unrelated industry co-agglomeration to promote regional economic stability and development.
