Research On The Impact Of Producer Service Industry Agglomeration On Manufacturing Structure Upgrading

The agglomeration of producer services has great significance for driving the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,optimizing the economic structure,and realizing the shift from high-speed growth to high-quality development.This paper first sorts out the research on the impact of producer services agglomeration on manufacturing.Then the paper comprehensively base on the theory of industrial agglomeration,industrial structure and industrial association,and take the upgrading of manufacturing structure as a research perspective,in-depth analysis of the impact mechanism of professional and diversified agglomeration of producer services on the manufacturing structure,and put forward corresponding research hypotheses.Then this paper divides the manufacturing industry into high-end,middle-end and low-end technology manufacturing according to the OECD manufacturing classification.Next,the paper introduces the cosine angle method to measure the manufacturing structure of each province,and based on the measurement results,analyzes the current status of China’s manufacturing structure and the concentration of producer services.After that,based on the research hypothesis proposed and the panel regression model which the data from 2005 to 2017 of 30 provincial units,the paper empirically analyze the impact of specialization and diversification of producer services on the upgrading of manufacturing structure.On this basis,it puts forward policy suggestions on how to promote the upgrading of the manufacturing structure through the aggregation of producer services.The empirical results show that the specialized agglomeration and diversification of producer services can significantly promote the upgrading of China’s manufacturing structure,but there is a certain regional heterogeneity: whether the eastern region is a specialized agglomeration or diversification of producer services,both can promote the upgrading of manufacturing structure.In the central and western regions,the diversified agglomeration of producer services can significantly promote the upgrading of the manufacturing structure,but the impact of specialized agglomeration is not significant.Because different agglomeration models have different effects on manufacturing,when the level of manufacturing structure is different,the effects are also different.This means that the choice of agglomeration mode of producer services should be matched with the level of manufacturing structure.When the level of manufacturing structure is high,the accelerating effect of specialized agglomeration of producer services will be stronger.When the level of manufacturing structure is low,a diversified agglomeration model should be selected.When transforming the manufacturing structure in different regions,relevant departments should choose different modes of agglomeration of producer services according to the level of the manufacturing structure in order to give full play to the role of producer services.Then the relevant departments need to actively guide the manufacturing industry to divest the productive service sector,reduce administrative control,lower the entry threshold,and actively create a favorable environment for the concentrated development of the productive service industry.
