| The research of regional specialization is on of research fields in economic geography theory and it has important influence in harmonious regional development.Market integration is a significant factor about regional specialization.Although China has made a great achievement in regional economic development,the problem of similar industrial structure is still serious.On the one hand,domestic regional integration process is restricted because of the restriction from regional protectionism and the factors of regional location,on the other hand,the quality of open economy is not high enough,therefore,the industrial agglomeration is still weak.Now,China has been faced with a critical period of transformation and updating of industrial structure,so the mainly purpose of this article is to explore the trend of regional integration and regional specialization's development,and analysis the impact of market integration on regional specialization.In theoretic aspect,combined with new economic geography theory,this paper analyzed the mechanism of the interaction between market integration and regional specialization from the view of industrial agglomeration.The paper put forward a analysis path that the market integration impact on regional specialization by affecting the industrial agglomeration of specific industries.Then,this paper put forward a series of research hypothesis which based on the the special environment in the process of regional economic development in China.In practical aspect,this paper chooses 30 provinces from 2005 to2014 as samples,designs evaluation indexes of internal and external market integration and regional specialization,and then selected the internal and external market integration index,as well as a series of control variables,using dynamic panel model by GMM method to test the relationship between market integration and regional specialization.The test is both for the national level and the regional level.The result shows that the trend of domestic market regional index like U,the international market regional index is gradually declining,and the regional specialization index has changed little.In the east and middle of China,market integration index is high and regional specialization index is low,and in west and northeast China,the situation is contrary.In practical research,this paper finds that regional specialization index shows inverted "U" type by the influence of market integration.However,at this moment,both internal and external market integration index show a positive effect on regionalspecialization index,and their interactive item is negative.The result also proves that the level of regional specialization will get stronger by themselves.Finally,according to the results of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,this paper puts forward some policy recommendations to break the market segmentation,establish a unified market and improve the level of regional specialization.Compared with the previous research,the main innovation of this paper is to put forward the market integration-industrial agglomeration-regional specializationanalysis path,to divide market integration index into domestic market integration index and international market integration index,and then divide domestic market integration index into product markets and production elements market integration.In addition,unlike other researches based on static analysis,this research can reduce endogeneity the problems in empirical analysis by using GMM in dynamic panel data model.At the national level and regional level,the regional specialization index shows inverted "U" type by the influence of market integration. |
