| Innovation is the progressive soul and inexhaustible motivation of nations.With the increasingly fierce competition,innovation is becoming increasingly important.As the highest level of education in China,graduate education plays an important role in promoting national innovation.However,in the recent scientific research,supervisors hold the view that many postgraduates’ creativity is not high.Therefore,enhancing the creativity of postgraduates is of great importance and value.Wang Yuhong’s research shows that the guidance of supervisors is the most important factor which influences the creativity of postgraduates,accounting for 37.9%.Transformational leadership theory,as one of the most popular frontier leadership theories,is thought to have positive effect on individual creativity.Therefore,this paper studies the impact of supervisors’ transformational style on the creativity of postgraduates.By reviewing researches on transformational leadership,personal initiative,openness to experience and creativity under the cultural background of China,we mainly analyze to what extent tutors’ transformational style can influent graduates’ creativity and the influencing mechanism.Under assistance of SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 24.0,we conduct the reliability analysis,validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis of relevant data,the results show that:Firstly,supervisors’ transformational style and postgraduates’ creativity have significantly positive correlation.Also,inspirational motivation and individualized consideration are positively related to creativity.Secondly,supervisors’ transformational style and postgraduates’ personal initiative have significantly positive correlation.Thirdly,postgraduates’ personal initiative and creativity have significantly positive correlation.Fourthly,postgraduates’ personal initiative leads a partly mediating role in the correlation between supervisors’ transformational style and postgraduates’ creativity.Fifthly,postgraduates’ openness to experience moderates the positive relationship between supervisors’ transformational style and postgraduates’ creativity in such a way that the effect is stronger for higher levels of openness to experience.Sixthly,postgraduates’ openness to experience moderates the positive relationship between supervisors’ transformational style and postgraduates’ creativity in such a way that the effect through postgraduates’ personal initiative is stronger for higher levels of openness to experience.The conclusions of this study enriches the influencing mechanism of tutor’s transformational style on graduates’ creativity in the background of Chinese universities.The conclusions of this study also provide important practical enlightenment and reference for tutors,graduates and graduate training unit. |
