Study On The Relationship Between Production Chain Length,skill Distribution And Export Complexity

The global production chain has aroused widespread concern in various countries and has become a hot issue in academia.Traditionally,the way in which a country's export trade value measures a country's trade gains is no longer applicable,and more literature examines the benefits that a country gains in real trade and the factors that affect these gains.The different positions of a country in the production chain will have different effects,representing the different status of the country in the division of labor throughout the world.The "smile curve" is a good way to reflect the different positions of the global production chain with different trade gains.Therefore,how to accurately measure the position of a country in the global production chain has become a fundamental and important issue.From an international perspective,China has a "world factory" title,as the world's important assembly,the huge trade continues to occur,in the international status significantly improved.At the same time,the responsibility for China's trade control also shift,Sino-US trade friction occurs frequently.In addition,from the domestic point of view,the economy into the "new normal" period,the entire Chinese economy into the shift period,domestic consumption continued to slump,the economic trend of fatigue,the regional government reports will accelerate the transformation of industrial structure,To speed up the regional industrial upgrading as an important task of the work.Second,since the reform and opening up in China,China's economy has shown no vitality before,so that China's economic strength has been rapid development,investment in education is also shown to spare no effort.Since the implementation of the college entrance examination,China has trained a number of highly qualified personnel.The study of this problem,both in theory and in practice,is of great significance.In theory,in recent years there have been a number of Chinese scholars for the Chinese industry,the length of the production chain formed a certain study,including how to more accurately measure the length of a country's production chain or business in the global production chain length Different positions,there are scholars to discuss the length of China's production chain and the relationship between China's exports,but on the mechanism of its elaboration,has not yet found from the perspective of the distribution of skills to study.Therefore,the discussion of this paper can enrich the literature of such problems.In a practical sense,in the increasingly clear division of labor today,each country plays a part of the whole world,and the distribution of this role affects the interests of each country.And the role of the set is based on the different circumstances of the country and the endowment of the common decision.Some developed countries because of their own infrastructure is good,technologically advanced,through the import of low value of raw materials,through its own technical transformation,exports are high-tech,high complexity of the product,in the entire production chain to get more High interest,while the developing countries due to backward facilities,personnel quality is not high and other conditions,can only export some of the lower technical content of products,access to lower interests.Therefore,in order to better explain the logic and the mechanism behind it,this paper will be a country's production chain length and a country's staff endowment corresponding analysis.Can be a good measure and evaluate how a country's factor endowment affects a country's trade gains,and the analysis of the perspective is based on the national industry chain length of the corresponding analysis.In this paper,the production chain length of each industry in China is analyzed by using the input-output table of 1995 to 2011 in the WIOD database,and the relationship between the length of the production chain,the distribution of skills and the complexity of export technology is analyzed.The results show that:(1)the input-output table between countries is consistent with the change of the length of the production chain calculated by the input-output table of China;(2)the production chain length is decomposed into inter-industry and intra-industry effects,The change of industry chain length is mainly due to the intra-industry effect,and only in the event of a larger external shocks such as financial crisis,the inter-industry effect of industry changes play a leading role;(3)The role of the mechanism between export technology complexity and production chain is achieved by the distribution of skills,the longer the length of the industry chain,the demand for highly skilled workers,and thus the industry's export technology,the higher the complexity.China should continue to increase investment in and support for the education sector,give some encouragement to the high-tech industry and raise the technical complexity of the export industry.At the same time,improve the corresponding residents' welfare system and encourage residents to boldly consume.
