Analysis Of Regional Industrial Specialization Unbalanced Development In Guangdong Province

China’s economic development presents the following characteristics: it has slowed its developing speed,the growth rate transfers from high speed to medium speed;promote industrial restructuring and upgrading and integration of incremental adjustments and storage quantity,through adding,subtracting,multiplying,and dividing;economic growth pays more attention to innovation and innovation-driven leads a new normal.Obviously,transformation and upgrading of industrial structure has become a theme of recognizing the new normal,adapting to the new normal,leading the new normal.The industrial upgrading is closely related with the industrials specialization,it is known that the industrial upgrading is not only the vital elements of industrial restructuring but also an eternal theme in economic development.Regional industrial specialization as a performance of optimization the allocation of resources,is an important branch of transformation and updating of the industrial structure.Which has close connection between them.We adopt data of 21 cities,19 industries of Guangdong Province from 2003 to 2014.Firstly,we measure the level of regional industrial specialization of Guangdong province in the way of discrete distribution Gini coefficient,from the angle of the whole province and each economic region,we analyze the characteristics and evolution law of industrial specialization in Guangdong Province.Next,combining inequality indexes measured the regional difference and evolution law of the regional industrial specialization.Then,analysis the main causes of regional differences of regional industrial specialization,based on the inequality decomposition of regression equation,we found that the regional original industry specialization was the most important factor of regional industry specialization difference,followed by market potential,wage level,total factor productivity,capital shock,opening degree,reform progress and transport infrastructure.Among them,the reform progress and transport infrastructure were conducive to narrowing the differences of regional industrial specialization.Finally,this empirical result indicated the direction of the industrial structure transformation and industry policies formulation in Guangdong province.
