Study On The Export Trade Potentialities From China To The Countries In West Line Of The 21st-century Maritime Silk Road

In recent years,how to boost China's export trade and promote China's economic development has been the problem needed to be solved urgently under the circumstances of slowdown in China's export trade and been hard to exploit the markets of developed countries.China's president Xi Jinping put forward the strategy of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road in early October 2013,the strategy has two directions of west line and south line,the countries in west line are the important areas of the strategy.There is the solid history foundation in trade between China and the countries in west line.The requirements of China and the countries in west line is concordant.With the strategy of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road,the value of export trade from China to the countries in the west line is going to change dramatically.The purpose of this study is to measure the export potentialities from China to the countries of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road.We can find out which country is the developing export market and make full use of the strategy of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road to develop the export trade according to the results.First,We can understand the import ability of the countries in the west line by analyzing the size of the economy,national income level and the import actuality of the countries in the west line.Then,to analyze the export trade actuality of the trade volume and industries structure can understand the differences among the countries in the west line.Furthermore,The article chooses expanded trade gravity model which is simple and accurate in the empirical.The GDP of exporter,the GDP of the importer,the population of importer,shipping distance,trade depending on degree of importer,in or out in CAFTA,the real effective exchange rate of exporter are indexes to built the model which measures the Chinese export trade potentialities to four areas and 23 countries in west line.The study analyzes the results which are divided into three parts:the large potential,the prolongable potential,the reconstituted potential.The article lists five different priorities for export enterprises and offers suggestions to develop:choosing the potential countries to develop the expansion of foreign trade business;optimizing the structure of export commodities and developing capital or technology intensive industry;improving the quality of products,developing the new market and the mature market of high income countries;according to the scope of business to choose the appropriate export markets;making full use of the dividend of policy.These countermeasures will provide Chinese export enterprises with strong support to break through the current difficulties and expand the export business.
