The initiative of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road?hereinafter referred to as“Haisi”?was formally proposed in October 2013 and has been a hot topic.At present,the economy of the countries along the maritime silk road is generally depressed,the shipping enterprises are not performing well,and the enterprises in China have started to go out on a large scale to participate in the national port projects along the coast of maritime silk road.On the basis of accurately grasping the connotation of maritime silk road,this paper combines Xi Jinping's sea power ideology to introduce the status of Chinese enterprises going out to participate in the port construction and the characteristics from areal distribution,participant,model selection and risk prevention.Finally the conclusion was drawn:China's enterprises to participate in the port construction in the countries along the maritime silk road is in line with the corporate interests,China's and host countries national interests;It is beneficial to China to build Marine power and harmonious Marine.However,the participation process is full of risks and challenges that have to be responded rationally.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter introduces the concept of sea power of China,which is the theoretical basis of participating port construction.The second chapter summarizes 36 port projects that have been involved in 24countries along the maritime silk road and analyzes the participating model including joint venture,merger and acquisition,BOT and franchise.Chapter 4 analyzes the external risk and internal challenges and puts forward the corresponding suggestion.The final chapter is the conclusion which points out the positive significance to China's construction of maritime power and community of common destiny.
