Industrialization And Information Integration And Its Impact On The Structure Of Primary Energy Consumption

The signing of the Paris agreement means that China has already changed its role to be the leader in the progress of global low-carbon transition.In order to achieve the goal of restricting its carbon emission in 2030,China needs to accelerate its speed of energy structure transformation.One key driving force is transferring its way to develop.The integration of Industrialization and Informatization which is an essential way for Chinese government to change its development pattern,has a profound impact on energy consumption and its structure.Therefore only if do we thoroughly understand such impact mechanism,we could draw up the policy of low-carbon economy effectively.So in this study,we choose primary energy consumption structure as an object to explore the impact of integration of Industrialization and Informatization on it.The main contains and concludes are as follows:(1)We further study the mechanism of the process of the integration of Industrialization and Informatization.Combined with the basic assumption,we construct a theoretical framework to describe the process of the integration from the perspective of collaborative evolution.We find that such integration is beneficial for Chinese Industrialization and Informatization and prove that such nation strategy is valid.(2)We measure the integration level of 30 provinces in China from 2002-2013.Based on the theoretical model,we establish a new method which overcomes the endogeneity and omitted viable problem of the existing measurement method to get a more valid measurement of integration level.The result shows that the change of Chinese integration level presents a "v" shape,which touches the lowest level in 2006.It suggests that the policies of China government in the 12th Five-year are very fruitful.(3)We analyze the impact of integration on the energy consumption structure as well as its mechanism.We find the integration process could reduce the proportion of coal and oil effectively,and increase the proportion of nature gas.Through the above theoretical and empirical research,this paper finds that the integration is an important driving force for government to promote the transformation of energy consumption structure and achieve goal of the low-carbon economy.Therefore the central government and the local governments should attach great importance to the quality of integration.By solving the problems in such process to promote the integration level,China could step on the path of low-carbon economy.
