| Based on a dataset collected from a science institute in Shanghai,this paper ranks the performance of scientific research teams of that institute by means of factor analysis.A further careful analysis of the research teams ranked at the top three finds that,as an organization of talents,an institute needs to seriously take into account the characteristics of intelligent staffs.With this consideration,we put scientific researchers,who act as the "human capital" of an organization as an important factor of scientific research performance evaluation,and construct a comprehensive index for science and technology development to evaluate the performance of each research teams.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to improve analysis of science and technology statistics,which we hope to be helpful for the establishment of performance appraisal system for scientific institutions in China. |
