Study On International Competitiveness Of China's Transportation Service Trade

As the globe entering the era of service economy,the service trade in China has developed rapidly with an increasing amount of transaction to different countries,which correspondingly promotes one of its parts,the transportation service trade.As an important department of service trade,transportation service trade has attracted much attention from different countries and areas since it bonds manufacturing and marketing,improves communication and boosts economic prosperity.Therefore,enhancing China's competitiveness in transport service is beneficial to the integral development of national service industry,the balance in foreign exchanges and the safety of transportation and national economy.However,the great deficit in transportation service trade,which is the main source of that in service trade industry,is not coordinated with the development goods trade.China is a big country,but not a strong country in international trade.Thus,in order to become a strong one,China should develop the service trade,which requires reinforcement of transportation service industry.From the perspective of trade in value added,this thesis has remeasured the international competitiveness index of transportation service trade of China and other countries ranked in top 10 of the world's biggest transport service exporters(except for Singapore)by means of trade in value added measure,according to two assessment criteria of international market share and revealed comparative advantage index.Using the basic data between 2000 and 2014 in the world input-output database,this thesis measures the added value of transportation service trade exports in c31-c34,and then figures out the international market share and the revealed comparative advantages index of transportation service trade.Through the longitudinal study on international competitiveness of China's transportation service trade and the cross-sectional study on that of different countries,the author analyses China's international competitiveness of transportation service trade in a comprehensive way.Finally,on the basis of China's actual situation,the author provides some suggestions to improve the international competitiveness of China's transportation service trade.
