International Comparison Of Competitiveness Of China's Transportation Service Trade

With the development of the economic globalization,trade between countries in the world are becoming increasingly closer,as the bridge and ties between international trades,the transportation service trade has gained a substantial edge among service trades.China's transporation service trade is growing at a high speed along with the increasing of the international trade of the goods.It has becomes a very important part of the international transportation service market.But there are a lot of problems existed while it's developing,such as the huge deficts and the foreign transporters take up a large market in China.These problems delayed the development of transportation service industry and the competetiveness in China.So it's meaningful to use some competetiveness indexes to evaluated the competetiveness of China's transportation services and conduct international comparisons to find the problems and finally come up with suggestions towards lifting the competitiveness of China's transportation service industry.The paper first defines the transportations service trade and terms related,and then introduces The Theory of Comparative Advantage and The Competitive Advantage of Nations which are the theoretical foundation of the paper.Based on the current popular competitiveness evaluation index systems together with the characteristics of transportation service industry and utilizing Theory and Methodology of Measuring Enterprise Competitiveness of Pei Changhong as a reference,the third part of the paper chooses some competitiveness evaluation indexes for China's transportation service industry including Revealed Indexes and Analyzed Indexes.In the forth part,the paper uses the selected indexes to compare China's transportation service trade with the other developed countries in the development of transportation service industry,the labor productivity,export advantages and advantages of net exports.The conclusion is that the transportation service industry in China is undergoing a continuous development and full of potential,but the international competitiveness is rather weak,the level of utilization of foreign capital,the average labor productivity and the unreasonable openess are the key aspects that delayed the development of transportation service industry in China.Part Five of the paper offers countermeasures to lift up competitiveness of China's transportation service industry in five aspects based on the research done in the previous context and The Competitive Advantage of Nations of Michael E.Porter.
