Based on China’s unique political, economic and cultural system and the conditions of the population of nearly one fifth of the world’s population, the national food security strategy has become an important circumstance for governments to formulate national development strategies that have to be considered. To some extent, the status quo of China’s agricultural development is partly due to the protection of national food security.Under the premise of protecting the national food security, the key to solve the agricultural development problems is to improve the income of farmers. This has become the consensus of academics and government policy makers. The focus of the growth of farmers is to create a suitable environment or carrier,so that farmers increase their income gradually and improve agricultural production conditions and agricultural technology. In the context of the large transfer of agricultural labor force, the continuous decline of land cultivation area and the slow growth of farmer’s human capital stock,The agricultural production and management organization, which has evolved towards the development of market economy, has the potential to improve the conditions of agricultural production and operation and increase the income of farmers, and also has the feasibility of being the carrier of modern farmers’ growth.Based on the characteristics of the current agricultural production and management organization and the actual situation of famers, this paper argues that the evolving agricultural production and managementorganization can be the carrier of the growth of modern famers. In this paper,we discusses this view from three aspects.First of all, through the analysis and summary of the evolution of agricultural organizations,we found, during the evolution of agricultural organization in large-scale,marketization and enterprisization,in developed countries with different agricultural resources and the implementation of different agricultural development policies, farmers achieved their level of knowledge and income;improve agricultural production conditions and agricultural technology;completed the transformation of their identity:from the traditional farmers to modern farmers. This proves that the evolving agricultural organization is the cornerstone of the growth of modern farmers.Secondly,in the theoretical analysis, the three effects of the evolution of agricultural organizations are:the effect of market-oriented production and management, the effect of agricultural technology progress and the effect of income increase.Which correspondingly will promote the growth of management-oriented farmers and skilled peasants and the high quality farmers. This means the agricultural organization has the potential and the feasibility of being the carrier of modern peasants in theory. Finally, through the statistical and econometric analysis of the process of large-scale and marketization of China’s agricultural organizations,we can prove that the evolution law of agricultural organizations and the three effects also existed in our country. At present,China’s agricultural organizations are in the stage of large-scale evolution.Farmers’ income, agricultural production conditions and farmer’s agricultural technology level and experience are gradually increasing.Although the contribution of China’s agricultural organization marketization to the growth of modern farmers is limited, famer as the concept of professional identity has been recognized. With the evolution of China’s agricultural organizations in large-scale,marketization and enterprisization and the government’s policy support and financial support for agricultural development, the gap of income, human capital and production conditions between farmers and other industry practitioners will gradually converge;Famer as professional identity will continue to highlight. In the end, this paper draws the conclusion and puts forward some policy suggestions on the evolution of agricultural organization and the growth of modern famers.
