| With the rapid development of new information technology such as Internet of Things,big data and mobile application,the intelligent manufacturing industry has become a breakthrough in the transformation and upgrading of China’s industrial industry.It is also an important means to reshape the competitive advantage of manufacturing industry in China and to build the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry.In today’s world,the innovation intensity of all walks of life is high,the speed is fast and the speed of knowledge renewal is accelerating.It is difficult for enterprises to obtain sustainable competitive advantage through independent innovation and R&D.Establishing R&D institutions overseas,seeking for strategic alliance,acquiring knowledge from partners has become an important way to broaden the knowledge base and realize the breakthrough of innovation.At present,the increasingly complex and turbulent business environment makes enterprises tend to construct organizational dual learning model-exploratory learning and exploitative learning.The former can fully tap and use existing knowledge and technical resources,and the later helps to capture more new knowledge and new resources.This paper integrates the relevant concepts of knowledge potential,innovation ability and so on,puts forward the new term of innovation position and potential,and tries to answer this realistic proposition:how does transnational exploratory learning and exploitative learning affect innovation position and potential and what’s the difference;which learning method is more conducive to realize the transition of innovation position and potential.The significance of this study is to expand the boundary of the study of dual learning,to promote the understanding to the synergistic evolution mechanism of duality learning model and innovation position and potential,to fully explore the regulatory role of the absorptive capacity in this mechanism,to further deepen the innovation position and potential transition research,and to explore the upgrading path of local intelligent manufacturing enterprises’ innovation position and potential.In this paper,we take the intelligent workshop industry as the industrial situation,and firstly measure the innovation position and potential of the intelligent workshop industrial chain,by comparing the relative innovation position and potential between the local manufacturing enterprises and foreign flagship enterprises to identify the breakthrough point of achieving innovation position and potential transition.Secondly,a large sample of empirical analysis is carried out,and 54 flagship enterprises at home and abroad are selected as the research object.The patent data is used to study the mechanism of dual learning strategies for the innovation position and potential of enterprises and the regulatory effect of absorptive capacity has been taken into account.Finally,the following conclusions have been made:(1)for the intelligent workshop industry,the greater exploratory learning and exploitative learning intensity is more likely to promote the innovation position to move inward,and the impact of exploratory learning is more significant;(2)the greater exploratory learning and exploitive learning intensity is more likely to promote the innovation potential to rise,and the impact of exploitative learning is more significant;(3)absorptive capacity negatively adjusts the relationship between exploratory learning and innovation position,the relationship between exploitative learning and innovation position;(4)absorptive capacity positively adjusts the relationship between exploratory learning and innovation potential,the relationship between exploitative learning and innovation potential.The study shows that these two kinds of learning methods can coexist and at the same time contribute to the innovation position and potential of enterprises.Exploratory learning has a more significant impact on innovation position,and exploitative learning has a more significant impact on innovation potential.Absorptive capacity plays some regulatory effect in the relationship between dual learning and innovation position and potential.In the process of carrying out transnational exploratory learning and exploitative learning to gain knowledge,stronger absorptive capacity helps to improve innovation potential of the enterprise,but it is not conducive to the enterprise’s innovation position.The main innovative points of this paper are as follows:first,we broaden the boundaries of dual learning,focusing on the influence mechanism of transnational explorative/exploitative learning to innovation position and potential.Secondly,the new concept of innovation position and potential is put forward,and the knowledge potential and innovation ability of intelligent manufacturing enterprises are measured from two dimensions of innovation position and potential.Thirdly,the study is tested by using panel data,breaking through the limitation that the majority of previous empirical research use cross-sectional data to study the impact of dual learning on innovation performance. |
