With the rapid development of economy and the society,compensation management,as an integral part of corporate human resource management system,has been always a great concern of enterprises.Since China joined the World Trade Organization,the competition has become increasingly more intense in the financial market and problems have been constantly exposed in compensation management of financial enterprises,which have heavily hindered development of the financial industry and improvement of overall services.A minority of Chinese commercial banks have thoroughly reformed their compensation management and achieved decent outcomes,so that they have completely improved their previous conditions and brought new vigor to their organizations.Harbin Branch of J Bank is just a case about successful reform of its compensation management.As J Bank developed fast and became stronger,a range of problems have occurred to compensation management in the Harbin Branch.For instance,adverse impacts such as great loss of personnel,excessive competitions in key internal posts and employees' weak enthusiasm about their work have become more and more prominent.According to its practical situation,Harbin Branch of J Bank has developed a reform plan for compensation management that focuses on broadband compensation system,thus having effectively solved its problems with compensation management and promoted its realization of strategic objectives.This paper consists of two parts,including case and case analysis.The above branch's reform plan for its compensation management is exemplified as a case.At first,this paper introduces general situation of the branch,its original compensation management plan,internal and external environment under which the plan is carried out.Subsequently,adverse consequences arising from its problems with compensation management,including heavy loss of personnel,excessive competitions in key internal posts and employees' weak enthusiasm about their work,are summarized.At last,the branch ' s reform plan for compensation management is proposed.In the part of case analysis,internal and external environment of the branch is firstly analyzed.Next,the original compensation management plan of the enterprise is analyzed.In light of adverse consequences related to compensation management,problems with compensation management and pertinent causes are discussed.Furthermore,thecompensation management plan proposed by the branch is analyzed.Finally,the branch's reform plan for its compensation management is improved based on its deficiencies,and effective measures are put forward to guarantee its smooth execution of the improved plan for compensation management.
