Recently the overall economic productivity and economic strength of China have been rapidly improved.The economic structure has been adjusted rapidly,including the upgrading and optimization of industrial structure.However,it should be noted that the current industrial structure can not adapt to the rapid economic development level.The unreasonable industrial structure is becoming a big obstacle to the harmonious development of China's economy.At present,the government will optimize the industrial structure of our country as a strategic problem of social and national economic development.To optimize the industrial structure,and make the policies play a leading role,we have to find out the influence factors of the upgrading of industrial structure and their mechanism.Based on that,we can give the policies which help to optimize the industrial structure.In this thesis,we firstly reviews the theory of industrial structure upgrading and optimization,and then introduce the influence factors candidates in these two areas,we considered two aspects,economic development and environment,with the influence factors of industrial structure upgrading and optimization summarized.We analyze the mechanism of various influencing factors on the upgrading and optimization of industrial structure,provide theoretical support of the empirical analysis.We construct a liner mixed model to analyze a panel data set of industrial structure from the north China.The existence of the time effect and the district effect are tested.The influence factors are selected by The SCAD-type shrinking estimate,and the orthogonal-based relationship between the optimization of industrial structure and their influence factors are fitted.The results of analyzes indicate that there exist time effect and distance effect in the optimization of industrial structure in the northChina.The prediction candidates,energy efficiency and technical progress,are not significant,while the predictors,openness,foreign investment and human resources,have significant impact on the industrial structure optimization,with the openness being the main effect.In addition,a research for the assessment of the industrial structure change is conducted.We find that Moore coefficient ignores the variability and correlation of the industrial proportions.Based on the sample covariance matrix of the industrial proportion vectors,We introduce The Mahalanobis distance to assess the industrial structure change,with the changes in different dimensions assessed in a uniform scale and the correlation between three industrial proportions taken into account.
