At present,automobile engine factories purchase spare parts from one hundred or two spare parts suppliers,and regularly convey to the total plant for assembling.Most of the spare parts are transported by disposable packaging which has defects of big accumulated input,waste of resources and polluting the environment.Therefore,the industry emerged the trend to use recycling packaging instead of disposable packaging and milk-run instead of present mode.In this situation,it is necessary to set up a spare part box management pooling to manage recycling packages so as to form efficient transportation system and circulation system for packages.Firstly,considering the use of permanent packaging materials,this paper proposes the idea of pooling,and positions the packaging center to recycling center,distribution center and fixing factory.Secondly,according to demand of automobile engine manufacturers and in the situation of setting pooling and change to use milk-run mode with simultaneous delivery and pickup,this paper constructs a pooling location and transportation organization optimization model,determine pooling’s number,location,distribution and route optimization schemes.Thirdly,the model is applied to DZ Engine Co.,Ltd.By means of seven-day demand from spare parts suppliers,the paper determines the number,location,service areas,and distribution routes.The study shows that the research can provide a reference not only for automobile engine factories to determine the location of packaging center and recycling packaging’s logistic distribution network but model innovation and optimization design for similar logistics system as well.
