More than 30 years of reform and opening-up,China's economic construction has made remarkable achievements,9.8% at an average annual GDP growth to keep continuous growth,by the end of 2010,China's economy for the first time in Japan, making it the world's second largest economy,by the world known as "China miracle".But at the same time of economic development, income gap is more and more serious, the widening of income gap will not only damage the interests of low-income people, also seriously affect the quality of economic development in China,is related to the stability of the society. This article from the perspective of high-speed development and the income gap between urban and rural areas, using empirical method, combining with the characteristics of the traffic infrastructure and the internal influence mechanism, high speed rail on the influence of income gap between urban and rural areas.First of all, from the transportation infrastructure and economic growth, the income gap between urban and rural areas, the literature review of mastering the research status of the current international and domestic scholars, the excavation of the related research deficiency and the innovation place.Related literature, the study of high-speed impact on the income gap does not see more, about the transportation infrastructure for the economy and the related research comprehensive income gap and widespread, the current scholars of high iron more and did not consider fair angle of view from the perspective of economic growth.Secondly, the current situation and trend of transportation infrastructure,high-speed rail development and urban-rural income gap in different areas are analyzed.Further in front of the combination of literature review mechanism is discussed, from the direct impact on urban, rural income and indirect labor mobility, industrial structure is analyzed the influence of high speed rail on the influence of income gap between urban and rural areas.Empirical aspects using high-speed opened as a "natural experiment",the national level panel data from 2001 to 2012 two-way fixed effect model empirical analysis on the national high-speed rail opened on the income gap between urban and rural areas and urban residents income, the influence of the rural residents' income,to obtain more accurate conclusion, according to different regions to be broken down into the east in the Midwest.Mechanism of inspection and the significant results and robustness analysis, finally we remove the original samples with high iron opened the first three years of data, and to choose as the new Beijing-Shanghai line regression model samples,in order to make sure the result is reliable and accurate. The results show that the effect of high-speed railway opening is not significant in the whole country. In the eastern region, the opening of high-speed railway will significantly widen the income gap between urban and rural areas and make a significant negative impact on the income of rural residents, which will have a positive effect on urban residents. There was no significant impact in the central region of HSR.Based on the empirical results, the main mechanism for the difference between urban and rural residents is to improve the income of urban residents and reduce the income of rural residents. The opening year of high-speed railway in the central region mainly in 2011,combining with the characteristics of the industrial structure in the central region, the lag of the high-speed rail effect has not played a role in the central region. Finally, this paper gives some suggestions on the rational pricing and promotion of high-speed rail in the Midwest, and hopes to bring better benefits to the public in the process of high-speed railway development.
