The problem of poverty is the eternal subject of the study of economics and sociology.It is also a historic issue of building a well-off society in an all-round way and realizing the socialist modernization.After nearly 40 years of reform and opening up,China's poverty problem has become effective.However,in the new situation,poverty reduction is also prominent,especially in rural poverty,and in rural poverty,old age poverty is the weakest link in poverty reduction.Based on the follow-up influence of institutional transition,the efficiency of policy implementation,the change of pro-neighbor structure and the negation of individual self-consciousness,the rural elderly group is going to bear the double attack of material and spiritual poverty in the future for a long time.Therefore,the analysis of the present situation and causes of the poverty-stricken high-risk groups is of great significance to the research and practice of the whole poverty reduction theory.Based on the field investigation of the elderly population of Zheqi village in Fanchang county,Anhui province,this paper tries to make some thoughts on poverty alleviation in rural areas of our country.Structurally,the full text consists of seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.Mainly for the background and significance of this paper,research status at home and abroad,research objectives,research framework and research methods.The second chapter is the definition of rural elderly poverty.Mainly on the connotation and extension of the level of domestic and foreign scholars and related organizations on the classic definition of poverty,and on this basis to further elucidate the concept of rural poverty,measurement and characteristics.The third chapter is the basic theory of old age poverty and the basic experience of poverty reduction in Western countries.The fourth chapter is the theoretical description and empirical study on the present situation of poverty in rural areas.Mainly include:income status,health care and pension care and other economic and social poverty and marriage and emotional,educational culture,spiritual beliefs and other spiritual and cultural poverty.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the causes of poverty in rural areas.This paper analyzes the causes of poverty in rural areas from the perspective of formal institutional arrangements(institutions,institutions and policies),informal institutional arrangements(communities,neighbors and families)and individual human capital stock.The sixth chapter is the study of poverty alleviation in rural areas.Mainly from the objective perspective-short-term social assistance and long-term cultural and social capital improvement,and subjective perspective-the concept of family pension and individual self-consciousness to enhance the two aspects of analysis.The seventh chapter is the conclusion.Mainly the summary of the contents of the full text,as well as the description of the inadequacies and research direction of this article.
