Leadership Evaluation Research On Petroleum Company A’s Middle Managers

Abstract/Summary:
With “low-oil prices” become the normal state in the development of the petroleum industry,the most important work for the oil company A at present is that how to enhance the core-competitiveness steadily under the circumstance of “low-cost management” which is the key to enterprise survival and development as well.In order to achieve this,the middle managers must exhibit outstanding performance in the following fields,including leadership qualities,strategic decision-making ability,executive ability,control ability,cultural management ability and the leadership for team management.The core competitiveness of oil company A has inextricable connection with the leadership of middle managers in which the correct evaluation of its leadership size speaks loud.The accessible research findings show that the existing evaluation criteria and methods of leadership are more traditional and informal,not individualized for petroleum industry,not mention to consider the special operating conditions of oil company A during the evaluation process,therefore it is particularly crucial to constrct a complete,scientific and individualized evaluation system for leadership.The main subject investigated in this dissertation is the leadership of middle managers,including evaluation indicators,evaluation model etc..Firstly,on the basis of cureent research on the leadership evaluation at home and abroad,the influence factors are summarized via literature analysis.Secondly,the leadership evaluation index system of oil company A which including 7 first-level indexes and 31 second-level ones is generated via emplying two rounds of expert questionnaire investigation and the corresponding reliability and validity test;various influence factors are data processed by abridge,merge and classification;and extract the key factors.Since the characristics of the leadership evaluation index system of oil company A is uncertain and disparate,Set Pair Analysis(SPA)is utilized to analysis the indistinct system and link the evaluation indexs so as to make the evaluation outcomes more scientific,reasonable and accurate.By constructing the evaluation system model and case analysis of middle managers’ leadership of the A oil company,the existing problems and deficiencies of middle managers are reflected,practicability of the evaluation model and effectiveness of the evaluation outcomes are verified which to provide reference for the company to map out the strategies.
