The southwest region is located in the southwestern border of China, with a complex terrain and rich natural resources. The land area accounts for 26.8% of the country's total area. The southwestern region defined in this article mainly includes Sichuan Province,Chongqing City,Yunnan Province,Guizhou Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.Since the implementation of the Western Development Strategy by the Central Government in 2000,the western region has entered a period of rapid economic growth. In recent years, the country has put forward strategic plans such as the “One Belt and One Road” and the “Yangtze River Economic Belt.” With its favorable geographical location, the southwest region has enjoyed rapid economic development. At the same time, the output of various departments and people's income have increased considerably. However, while the economy continues to grow, the problems such as the internal gap in the Southwest have remained quite prominent. The regional economic development differences exist as an objective phenomenon in the Southwest. The regional spatial economic linkage is the market spatial relationship among different regions due to the specialization and cooperation of various elements, and the various elements(such as products, labor services, technology, capital, etc.)arising from the spatial linkage of markets flow among regions..Regional economic linkages have been continuously strengthened, which means that regional economic development has moved from isolated regions in geographical space to interconnected ones. With the continuous development of the market economy in our country, the inter-regional factors are increasingly interrelated, and various regions are no longer isolated individuals, but act as an interconnected whole. The influence and dependence of among regions are continuously improving, which influence the regional level of technology, industrial division of labor, trade linkages, and overall economic strength hugely at the same time,.Regional linkages do not only depend onadministrative measures, but also tend to be more of a market mechanism. The inter-regional linkages produced by the regional division of labor and the integration of factors connect tighter. This will further promote the development of regional advantages, and free flow of factors and advantages in development will be enhanced.Additionally, this allows each region to rely on its own strengths and make up for its own inadequacies through the flow of other regional factors;on the contrary,if regional economic linkages are extremely fragmented and elements cannot be free to flow,it will result in the formation of closed individuals among regions, thereby affecting the status of regional division of labor. The analysis of regional spatial economic linkages from the perspective of industry can help analyze the specific links and development trends among regional economies from the perspective of micro-industry,and can provide an effective policy basis for the government. This article reviews the concept of regional spatial economic relations, related theories, transmission mechanisms, influencing factors, structural characteristics, main research methods and dynamic research on spatial economic linkages in the Southwest, and explains the definition and function of input-output analysis. At the same time,it logically demonstrated the rationality of using input-output analysis to study regional spatial economic linkages, and elaborated the main content of how to use input-output to analyse regional spatial economic linkages. In the empirical part,it firstly sorts out “China's Inter-regional Input-Output Tables in 30 Provinces,Cities, and Cities in 2010” and adjusts and calculates the input and output tables of 30 departments in Southwest China.Second, the direct consumption coefficient is estimated as the basis of the input-output model. Finally, the two-region input-output model is established, and the means which takes the final demand as the starting point is selected to measure the multiplier, overflow and feedback effects of the provinces and cities in the southwest region. The following conclusions are drawn: First, from the multiplier effect aspect, the multiplier effect of Sichuan Province is the largest. The multiplier effect of Chongqing and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is smaller than that of Sichuan Province, and the multiplier effect of Yunnan Provinceand Guizhou Province is the smallest. This shows that the degree of correlation Guizhou Province is the smallest. This shows that the degree of correlation between industries in Sichuan Province is higher than other provinces and cities in the Southwest.Secondly, from the spillover effect, the spillover effect of Sichuan Province on other provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in the Southwest is higher than that of other provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, indicating that Sichuan's industrial linkages to other regions tend to be in single contact with other regions.Less interaction.Only Guizhou has more industry interactions with Chongqing Province and Yunnan Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and the industries are more closely linked.Chongqing Province has more industrial links with Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. This shows that the industrial linkages between provinces, cities and autonomous regions in the southwestern region are mainly single links, and only a few provinces have two-way links between industries, and most provinces have little industrial interaction.Thirdly, from the feedback effect, the feedback effects among the provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in the southwestern region are mostly concentrated on related industries such as technology-intensive,energy-intensive,raw-material-oriented,and lifestyle service industries.Based on the above conclusions, this paper proposes relevant countermeasures from the perspectives of industrial integration, transportation, human capital, openness to the outside world, regional macro-control,etc.,with a view to shortening the economic disparities between provinces, autonomous regions and autonomous regions in the southwest region and promoting the integration of economic and industrial development in the southwest region.
