The balance between the rapid economic development and ecological environment protection is a worldwide and permanent topic. In recent years, governments around the world have been sparing no effort in developing the economy and protecting the ecological environment at the same time, and China is no exception, began the great transition from industrial civilization to ecological civilization.Industrial enterprises,as the important microcosmic subject in the economic development, have been making major contributions to gross domestic product,as well as the source of energy consumption and environmental pollution, which plays a crucial role in achieving the balance between the two. This paper discusses the industrial enterprises, through the ecological transformation, improve the efficiency of energy utilization, reduce and even eliminate the emissions of pollutants,so as to realize the coordinated development of economy and environment, and the transformation process relies on innovative technology. The paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter consists of introduction and literature review, mainly introduces the background of economic development, energy use and ecological environment in China and summarizes and reviews the research results at home and abroad from three aspects:enterprise technology innovation ability, enterprise ecology and the relationship between them. The second chapter is the theoretical basis, which states the development of innovation theory and the origin and evolution of enterprise ecological thought. It consists of Marx's thought of industrial wastes, sustainable development theory, the circular economy theory and the theory of ecological industrial system, which provides guidance for the subsequent research. The third chapter is one of the important qualitative analysis section, which, first of all, defines the concept of enterprise ecology on the basis of existing research, secondly analyzes the internal and external dynamics of enterprises' ecological transformation and finally their macro and micro processes and illustrates the role of enterprise production technology in this process. The fourth chapter constructs the evaluation index system of enterprise ecology which consists of three aspects: economy, resources and environment, and evaluates the ecological level of industrial enterprises above designated size in 30 provinces in China from 2001 to2015 by using entropy value method. The results show that: the ecological level of enterprises in all Chinese provinces have undulant upward trend;from the perspective of the division of the four economic regions, the ecological level of enterprises in each regionis quite different, which, detailedly, reflects the eastern region is higher than the central region, northeast region later and the western region last. The fifth chapter analyzes the influence of enterprise's technological innovation ability on its ecological transformation by using the panel data model with lagged distribution. The conclusion is that enterprise's independent research and development expenditure intensity(EX),human capital of research and development investment intensity(HU)and technology import and adoption intensity(IA)have positive influence on the ecological transformation of enterprises. And IA has the greatest influence on the ecological transformation of enterprises,EX latter and HU last. The sixth chapter summarizes the conclusions of this paper and puts forward some policy suggestions based on the empirical analysis results.
