From the Qin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, the Chinese feudal dynasties cycled in the process of unification and division, prosperity, and crisis. Why couldn’t the country achieve peace and stability? This article attempts to explore the context of the new institutional economics. This article focuses on the supply of the system, analyzes the reasons for the inadequate supply of the feudal dynasty system in China, and the impact of the system supply on the socio-economic development of the Chinese feudal dynasty. The research shows that:First of all, from the perspective of promoting the main body and motivation of institutional change or the cost and effect of institutional change,China’s feudal dynasties have the phenomenon of insufficient system supply.Second, due to the nature of the feudal dynasty, the limited rationality of the rulers, the game of interest groups, and the rigidity of ideology, the institutional changes of the feudal dynasty always point to rigid and inefficient, and it is impossible to supply fully, timely, and effectively.A system conducive to social and economic development.Once again, the feudal dynasty, languishing in the above-mentioned defects, will surely fall into the awkward path of dependence on traps, lack of social development power, and loss of social efficiency, until it dies. Finally, the article puts forward some thoughts and suggestions based on relevant research conclusions.
