Investigation On Breeding Behavior And Technology Need Of Sheep Breeders In Gansu Province

Sheep industry is very important for aquaculture and economic development.In order to study the problems of mutton breeding,understand the status of meat sheep breeding,and find out the appropriate measures,the farmers in the six areas of Yuzhong,Jingyuan,Yongjing,Anding,Longxi,Minxian and other areas were investigated.The survey method was mainly based on questionnaires and observation records were supplemented.The contents were investigated respectively.1.The breeding behavior of 348 sheep farmers at different scales and different farming methods were investigated.Culture degree is low,junior middle school and the following cultural degree is 76.2%.Older than 40 years of age is 51.2%.The breeding methods were backward,and 82.7% of the farmers were in a small scale.With a shortage of funds,83% of the farmers borrowed money.The breeding management technology was insufficient,the breeding work was lagging behind,and the breeding varieties were more than 77% of the local hybrid sheep.The epidemic prevention and control situation was severe,and 12.1% of the breeding households were caused by sheep disease in 2017.These unfavorable factors are the underlying reasons that restrict the development of mutton sheep industry in Gansu province.At the same time,Gansu sheep industry also has the advantages of abundant forage resources,variety resources and broad market prospects.2.Through the investigation of the scientific and technological needs of the meat sheep industry in Gansu Province,we found that the level of intensive raising of sheep industry is not high,the feeding mode is relatively backward and the conversion rate of scientific and technological achievements is low.The main factor that restricts the adoption of new technology is the unimpeded channel of technical popularization,and it is difficult to obtain the sheep farm through effective ways.In terms of infrastructure,38.35% of sheep farms need fine materials,43.16% of the sheep farms have the greatest technical and technical requirements for artificial insemination,33.45% of the sheep farms have the most scientific and technological demand for the staff quality.32.51% of the sheep farms have the greatest demand for science andtechnology in terms of investment cost.40.21% of the sheep farms think that the most unnecessary is to buy additives and their own mixed diets.Through the investigation on the breeding behavior and the scientific and technological demand of the mutton sheep in Gansu Province,the factors are reflected objectively and impartially,and the basic information is provided for the promotion and application of various production techniques in the future.
