Current Situation And Development Strategy Of Edible Fungi Industry In Liangdang

The edible fungui industry is the most potential of the emerging industries during the process of our country determining to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Because of its flexible production mechanism,ability to absorb the rural surplus labor,high economic efficiency,the edible fungui industry develops rapidly in those towns which take the primary industry as the pillar industry in the northwest of China.This research,a case study in Liangdang of Longnan City in Gansu Province,sorts out the achievements in the development of edible fungi from 2012 to 2015,investigates and analyses the present situation of edible fungui industry development and industrialization problems and give related suggestions and countermeasures by questionaire investigation,interview and document review.The main results are as follows:1.The present situation of the edible fungui industry development in Liangdang was investigated and analyzed.Since 2012,the government in Liangdang began to guide and support many farmers,enterprises to develop edible fungui industry,based on its native fact.The edible fungui industry in Liangdang has formed the basic shape through recent efforts.At the same time,the edible fungui industry in Liangdang has been constantly bigger and stronger,from the initial small family demonstration planting to the scale of large-scale development,and then set up industrial cooperatives and establish the leading enterprises.Gradually,it has formed a business model of “leading enterprises + demonstration area(base)+ cooperatives + farmers”.It aims to mobilize and enhance the enthusiasm of farmers on the edible fungui industry by taking the project to support,complement compensation,stock cooperation and diversified investment mechanism involved farmers.2.The economic benefits of the edible fungui industry in Liangdang were investigated.Since the Liangdang began to vigorously develop the edible fungui industry,the people's per capita net income in Liangdang has grown steadily in four years from 2012 to 2015.By the end of 2015,the income has realized double times compared to 2012 and the rural living standards has improved significantly.Among them,edible fungui industry occupies an important position of the county industrial development in recent years.From 2012 to 2015,the output value of the three major edible fungui accounted for 1.48%,10.65%,11.8% and 12.98% of the total agricultural income of the county,respectively,and its benefits on rural farmers' income growth has made a positive contribution.3.The problems in the development of edible fungi were found.Through the investigation,the paper summarizes the main facing problems during the development of edible fungui industry in Liangdang,that is,more migrant workers and lack of labor support;high input cost and shortage of funds;low resource utilization and exerting great pressure on the environment;comparatively simple planting kind,lack of disease prevention and control technologies;low recycling rate of waste products;loose production management and poor product quality;insufficient publicity and weak market competitiveness;imcomplete sales system and limited product revenue;inadequate product added value development and not realizing value maximization;low industrialization level and developing comparatively stagnant.4.The development strategies of edible fungui industry in Liangdang were put forward.Aiming at the existing problems,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to realize the sustainable development of edible fungus industry in the whole county,that is,increase publicity and guidance and attract the labor to return home;expand financial input and mobilize the initiative for development;focus on communication and coordination and broaden the source of materials;introduce and cultivate new kinds;strengthen prevention and control teams;focus on developing circular economy;establish an industrial development system;focus on product packaging and publicity;improve the sales service platform;focus on making plans,deep development and transformation.
