With the intensification of market competition,innovation and change are becoming the theme of enterprises' development.That enterprises do not have the ability to constantly innovate will encounter many setbacks in the future competition.In order to succeed in the changing market,enterprises must rationally use its resources to enhance the abilities of learning and innovation.Actually,organizational innovations are always conducted by individuals in the organization,and how to effectively stimulate and guide the employees' innovative behavior is a problem that the enterprises must solve in the process of enhancing their capacity of innovation.At the same time,knowledge-based talent has gradually become one of the core competitiveness of enterprises in knowledge-driven era.Therefore,how to retain the excellent employees is also a challenge that enterprises are facing.Therefore,the study took the business managers and employees in South China as the research sample,and used the multi-sources and follow-up investigation method to recover 245 valid matching questionnaires.Then,we discussed the effect of employees' self-leadership on their innovative behavior,as well as the role of job embeddedness and perceived insider status in above relationship.On the basis of literature review,validity analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,the study found that:(1)employee self-leadership has significantly positive effect on employee innovation behavior;(2)employee self-leadership has significantly positive effect on staff job embeddedness;(3)staff work embeddedness has significant positive effect on employee innovation;(4)staff work embeddedness play a role of mediator in the relationship between self-leadership and innovation behavior;(5)employee perceived insider status moderates the relationship between employee self-leadership and job embeddedness;(6)employee perceived insider status moderates the relationship between employee self-leadership and innovation behavior.This study clarifies the relationship between employee self-leadership and innovation behavior and its internal mechanism,which enriches the research of employees' self-leadership and innovation behavior,and provides theoretical and practical suggestions for enterprises to stimulate and guide employees' innovation ability.
