| In the process of the development of ancient Chinese society,female,as an important part of social members,are actually groups that are more easily overlooked.With the gradual development of feudal manners such as female subordination and the Three Cardinal Guides and the Five Constant Virtues,women had been put on more shackles by the male-dominated society in terms of their living conditions,social relations,and ethics.Their social status also had continued to decline.However,during the transitional period when the feudal manners were formed in the Han Dynasty,the independence of women appeared to be more prominent.Compared with later generations,society in this period was more tolerant and accessible to women and inter sexual relationship.This makes the Qin and Han female has certain characteristics of the times that are of high research value.Through the study of Han Dynasty female’s participation in social production,this paper discusses the main contents and feature of female’s economic activities,explore the responsibilities of the Han Dynasty women in social economy,and their contribution to the development of society,and try to analysis the Han Dynasties female’s social economic status and the reasons for its formation.The paper is divided into four parts,namely,social economic profile of the Han Dynasty,female’s agricultural production in the Han Dynasty,female’s handicraft production in the Han Dynasty,and female’s business activities in the Han Dynasty.Relied on the improvement of production tools,a unified and relatively stable social condition,and the governor’s policy of encouraging production,agricultural production and handicraft production of the Han Dynasty developed continuously.The development of handicrafts had led to the development of the “mart”.Although governors have different commercial policies in different stages,the commerce was developed in the Han Dynasty.Understanding the general situation of the social economy in the Han Dynasty helps to grasp the content and scope of female’s social and economic activities in the Han Dynasty.Agriculture was the most important production department in the Han dynasty.Women in the Han dynasty also contributed to the development of the social economy by participating in all aspects of agricultural production,assuming taxation and corvee.However,subjected to physical factors,and other objective factors,their effect on agricultural production was still inferior to that of men.Female played a particularly important role in the handicraft industry represented by textiles.In the handicraft industry,women are mainly involved in the sericulture,textile,and brewing industries.Among them,the textile industry is the main body and the participants are spread over various classes.Women’s tools were abundant,technological innovations were made,production was active,and the division of responsibilities was clear.This provided an important labor force for the development of handicrafts in the Han Dynasty.Although the influence of female in the business of the Han Dynasty is low,it is not a blank.Female’s homework skills,such as textiles,sewing,weaving,cooking,and brewing,provide technical prerequisites for doing business.Women in business were mostly living alone,and due to economic conditions,ideology,and other reasons,few of them developed into big businessmen.As a major social worker,female of the Han Dynasty made a certain contribution to agricultural production,handicraft production and commercial development,promoted the development of social economy and the progress of labor technology,and were an indispensable part of the economic development process of the Han Dynasty. |
