Under the initiative of the "Silk Road Economic Belt",China has accelerated its foreign trade cooperation, and participated in the investment and construction of countries along the Economic Belt.To identify and prevent the potential security problems of the countries along the Economic Belt is an important issue in protecting the overseas interests of China. While located in the stronghold of the Economic Belt,Tajikistan is an underdeveloped country in Central Asia and even the whole world. Its economic development is closely related to the security situation. In recent years, the domestic political situation in Tajikistan has generally remained stable,as well as its bilateral relations with China, which is conducive to the implementation of the Economic Belt. However,Tajikistan’s conflicts with its neighboring countries are making the transportation and electricity infrastructure problems more severe, bringing an obstacle for Chinese enterprises to invest in Tajikistan. In Tajikistan,meanwhile,non-traditional security factors represents a significant proportion, the possibility of emergencies bringing by the "Three Forces" still exists, coupled with transnational organized crime and other issues, all in a certain extent influence and restrict the domestic economic development of Tajikistan and its cooperation with China. The author believes that we should pay close attention to the security situation in key areas of Tajikistan, define the existing risks and strengthen basic research, carry out field research to objectively evaluate the risks, strengthen bilateral cooperation and improve the ability in risk management, strengthen coordination between great powers to jointly deal with regional security risks.
