The Place And Significance Of The Idea Of Green Development In Social Development

This paper is about the status and significance of green development in social development.The green development of society is a kind of concept and basic principle based on environment-friendly societal development,which is put forward in response to the tense relationship between man and nature.Since the first Industrial Revolution,human society has achieved unprecedented development and progress with the support and promotion of science and technology,but at the same time,human beings are exhilarated by the series of achievements they have made in the face of nature.The natural environment of the earth on which our human beings depend for their survival has become increasingly degraded in the process of so-called progress.It was Rachel Carson,an American marine biologist,who published Silent Spring in 1962,which prompted mankind to wake up from the dream of one-sided social development,triggering the rise and fall of the modern environmental movement.Ecological consciousness began to infiltrate and spread to all levels of society and gradually became a mainstream consciousness of social development.Since the Reform and Opening Up in 1978,China has made remarkable achievements in all aspects of social and economic development.However,in the process of development and progress,we have also encountered problems in the social and economic development of western developed countries.That is,in the process of promoting social and economic development,due to the general lack of ecological awareness,leading to increasingly serious environmental problems,which makes social progress and people's quality of life has been seriously affected.It is in this context that environmental issues begin to enter our vision and are truly and substantively integrated into our political decisions and social actions on how society develops.And become our measure of social civilization and progress of a basic and important symbol.Since the 17 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Communist Party of China has clearly put forward the task of "Ecological Civilization" construction,which is regarded as a programmatic political decision.To serve as a guide to basic concepts and actions that guide our socially and environmentally friendly development.Subsequently,the Fifth Plenary session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee further put forward the concept of “innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing” as a whole based on the concept of scientific development.This is a basic conceptual framework for guiding,measuring and regulating how our societies develop scientifically.Among them,the concept of green development has become a basic symbol,norm and principle of how to realize the harmony between man and nature or the friendly environment in the process of realizing the highly effective development of society.The green development of society deals with the relationship between our social development and the natural environment.In order to realize the green development of society,we must know clearly what the basic relationship between man and nature is,and this relationship is fundamentally a scientific understanding problem.Ecological science reveals the basic picture of the relationship between man and nature.Ecological science studies the relationship between all living things on Earth,including human beings,and their living environment.In the scientific picture of ecological science,there is a variety of life forms,which form a highly complex network of relationships through interaction.In this complex network of relationships,each species occupies a specific niche,and they achieve their survival through specific material cycles and energy flows.All living things are interdependent and symbiotic,and the survival and development of each kind of organism is limited by the existence and development of other living things.As a biological species,we human beings are in this complex network of relationships.We must also rely on and pass through the ecological network of material circulation and energy flow to achieve the fundamental purpose of our own survival and development.In a nutshell,no species can survive on its own without this ecological network,and human beings are no exception.Earth's natural environment as an ecosystem,for all living things,fundamentally speaking,is a life support system.Therefore,in order to achieve the green development of our society,we must be fully aware of this immutable and fundamental dependence between us and nature.Today,the reason why we propose the construction of ecological civilization and realize the green development of society lies in the fact that in the past social and economic development,we have ignored or even ignored the basic relationship formed between the natural ecosystem of the earth and us.The ecosystem,as a life support system,has been severely damaged.There is no doubt that the realization of social green development is to solve the tension between man and nature made an urgent and timely norm of social action.It can be said that the concept of green development in our social development in the status and significance of the substantive manifestation.Further,in order to achieve the green development of society,we need to find and identify the basic causes of the tension between man and nature,which is the only way.Only then will we be able to formulate targeted action programmes to eliminate environmental problems and achieve green development in society.In our opinion,the main causes of environmental problems come from three aspects: the first is the problem of concept.We human beings have been treating nature in a anthropocentrism way for a long time.Nature has only the tool value in the concept of human being,and it is the object that can be arbitrarily manipulated and infinitely demanded;the second is the existing problems in the production mode.Because we lack the most basic ecological knowledge and the basic laws of the existence and operation of natural ecosystems,this leads to the fact that the technology that we act on nature is a non-ecological or anti-natural way.This makes it more difficult for natural ecosystems to sustain human activities in them;third,demographic problems.The rapid growth of population has brought about the demand of material consumption on a larger scale,which has put great pressure on the limited natural resources of the earth,especially non-renewable natural resources,which makes it unable to meet the human consumption rate.To realize the green development of society,we must thoroughly solve these basic problems existing in the relationship between man and nature.The first is in terms of ideas.We should completely change and eliminate the attitude of anthropocentrism towards nature and the harmony between man and nature,first of all,we should realize the harmony in concept.The second is in the mode of production.We should vigorously innovate and develop environmentally friendly ecological technologies and accelerate the elimination of non-ecological or anti-ecological technologies that do not meet the requirements of environmental friendliness in order to alleviate the pressure on the sustainability of the entire Earth's natural ecosystem.Third,the speed of population growth should be adjusted and controlled effectively,so as to reduce the pressure on natural resources and the speed of consumption.Only through such a green development,our society can achieve sustainable and healthy development under the premise of the sustainability of the earth's natural environment.
