Because of its simple structure,convenient operation,uniform flow rate and wide applicability,centrifugal pump has become the most commonly equipment and used liquid transportation equipment in petroleum,chemical,navigation and agricultural engineering.But in our country for the selection and design of centrifugal pump,internal flow law research has not yet formed a systematic,standardized process,the lack of a precise set of simple design theory,led to the process of selection and design of the centrifugal pump is too cumbersome,cost a lot of manpower and material resources,while China has not yet formed a centrifugal pump brand,the lack of international competitiveness.Therefore,the research of centrifugal pump selection technology is carried out,and a set of simple and feasible theoretical system is developed to lay the foundation for optimizing design,reducing cost and making competitive products.It is great significance to the long-term development of centrifugal pump.In this paper,the theoretical basis of centrifugal pump selection,the influencing factors,the main performance parameters and calculation of centrifugal pump selection are studied,and the related theory of numerical simulation and the usage of software are summarized,and the generation of full flow channel mesh of centrifugal pump is illustrated by examples.The application of numerical simulation technology in the selection of centrifugal pump is verified by examples.The specific research work is as follows:(1)The main performance parameters of centrifugal pump,the characteristic curve of pipeline,the concept of working point and the related calculation method are summarized.(2)The main factors affecting the selection of centrifugal pump are introduced,including medium type,material selection of centrifugal pump,determination of displacement,calculation and verification of cavitation allowance,selection of motor parameters and anti-riot equipment.The selection of inlet and outlet diameter is the key factor and parameter of centrifugal pump selection.(3)This paper summarizes the grid type and block generation technology of oil centrifugal pump,illustrates how to use software to generate meshes of impeller,volute and seal parts,and establishes the full flow channel grid model of oil centrifugal pump.Through the CFD numerical simulation technology,the models of different oil transporting centrifugal pumps are built,the performance curves of the models are predicted,and the results of the main parameters of the simulation are compared and analyzed.(4)The practical application of the selected oil pump is verified by an example.It is found that the comprehensive performance of the centrifugal pump has reached the expected goal,which can meet the actual needs and meet the requirements of selection and design.
