With the improvement of computer performance and application technology in all fields,virtual reality technology(Virtual Reality Technology,VR technology for short),has become one of the hottest technologies at present,especially in 2016,it was defined as the first year of VR.Since the virtual reality technology has 3I features: Immersion,Interactivity and Imagination,make it become the most promising technology in the field of education and training after the multimedia and computer network.In addition,the national "13th Five-Year" plan also called for in-depth integration of information technology and education experimental teaching,constantly strengthen the construction and application of high-quality resources in experimental teaching of higher education,improve the quality of experimental teaching and the level of practice in higher education.In view of this,this paper is guided by the constructivist theory,uses virtual reality technology,takes the lathe CA6140 as the original application of 3D modeling technology to establish the lathe model,with the help of Unity3 D engine development platform for environment construction and lathe interaction design,a set of virtual teaching system based on HTC VIVE desktop lathe CA6140 VR is developed,the hardware display device selects the current HTC VIVE helmet and handle.Different from the traditional desktop virtual simulation teaching software that uses mouse and keyboard to complete interaction design,the system not only has good human-computer interaction,but also has ideal immersion and conception.The main contents of this research include the following aspects:(1)This part briefly introduces the topic and research significance,analyzes the development status of the virtual simulation teaching system at home and abroad,establishes the purpose and research content of the subject.(2)According to the guiding ideology of system theory,this part establishes thechoice of system development tools,the system structure and development design(Including the system structure,the system development process and the system functions to be implemented).(3)This part realizes the establishment of lathe model with 3D modeling software,deeply studies the three-dimensional geometry modeling in the computer storage state,SolidWorks modeling skills and assembly process,3ds Max modeling techniques and optimization principles and methods,based on key frame making lathe action,loads the model from 3ds Max to Unity3 D and matters needing attention,application of Unity3 D particle system effect in lathe cutting process.(4)This part studies the key technology in the system development process,mainly include:construction of virtual environment based on HTC VIVE,Lighting House positioning principle,collision detection of handle ray script control,interactive UI mutual design,Unity3 D ambient light setting,realization of virtual turning process and single machine version to LAN.(5)In the development platform Unity3 D,the immersive lathe virtual simulation teaching system is developed and implemented,include lathe structure cognition,tool cognition and attachment cognition,use handles to control the resolution,assembly and rotation of models,select typical parts surface for virtual clamping and machining demonstration.(6)This part releases.EXE executable file and installs HTC VIVE hardware,then carries on the system test and consummate the system function insufficiency,finally completed the research and development of the CA6140 virtual teaching system based on HTC VIVE lathe.
